Yea I've been all over town, there are many many many copies. They are trying to make it look more popular then it is.
To me it's cool if some like Kinect I'm not saying one way or another on it. I have Move, no desire to get Kinect, but I"m not saying it sucks because I have not tried it. But I do think it will wear off on people way too quick, and MS is not really doing good by separating their target market so much, because they will alienate their other fans, and they will go to Sony.
But the advertising thing is a reality, and it is a vicious cycle. MS spends 10 times more ...
No there hardly is. To me it's the old school game reviewers for the most part. Adam, Giant Bomb (Jeff G.) And the leftover crew of EGM at Bitmob are the only ones I care to listen to . The rest are either fanboys themselves, (either way is bad) or they are getting pressure to get advertising money, and trust me MS spends way more on ads then Sony ever has.
I'm glad I'm not alone on this. I just can't stand Abbe or Patrick, he's always got a grin on him, and will say anything negative about the PS3 he can. Same with Webb, she's horrible with Nintendo as well.
I mean I agree The Other M was not the best, but it was not horrible, I can't believe that all Abbe did was bitch about the story, and talked nothing about the game hardly at all.
Adam seriously needs to make his own show away from G...
I can't stand Abbie. She is many things:
A. She is incredibly biased, I listen to Feed back because I still fully respect Adam Sessler, he is the only good one and has always been the only good one over there, (Kate Botello was great as well). But Abbie acts like she is not, but she only likes X-Box, so does Morgan, they rip on PS3 and Nintendo all the time.
I find it funny during that whole thing she rips on sequels and no original IP and yet all she doe...
Ehhh KOTOR II was amazing, it was just filled with bugs. The PC version with updates it was truly an amazing game.
I downloaded it earlier today, and it went all the way through. I'll play it and see how far it goes. I think if you got it early enough we really did get the full version.
Agreed. I've followed the game through every incarnation, and yes the story is complex, but it does make sense. And MGS4 did a superb job tying all the loose ends together.
I agree to a point. The only thing I disagree on is it seems in the 90's and early 2000's people were more serious. People like Kasavin and T. Liam McDonald, and most of the EGM staff took it seriously. They had very objective measures, with how they did things. And had very fact based with backup for what they would say. And they would not let their bias ruin any game. It seems to me back then people were not as swayed by hype/hate. People would just take it game at a time. Now in th...
So have I. I've been playing it for a hell of a long time. And SOTN I remember at the time some called it nothing more then an upgraded Super Metroid clone. Which it was. There is nothing wrong with cloning it as long as its good. So get over yourself.
Yes reviews are opinions. But too many "internet peeps" think that opinion is the only thing that matters. It's not. There needs to be objectiveness in a review as well, some kind of structure to base itself against other games. If there is no structure, then guess what, it's just some gamer saying what he feels. That's fine if it's a blog of some 13 year old playing Halo, but not a "supposed" professional site.
But there is the problem, t...
Yea then lets go back and tell CoD and Halo how much they ripped off of other games, and were pretty much copycats......
Well what always makes me question their hypocrisy is the idea that they give games like MW2 such high scores, when they are nothing more then cookie cutters of their originals with a few new maps stamped on, with horrible balance, and just not that great.
Yet if another game takes from another formula changes it up, it's a bad game.
Like I said I only trust GI, Giant Bomb, and Bitmob, GT, and GS, IGN, so forth usually just go where the marketing is.
Yea Game Informer, Giant Bomb, and Bitmob are usually objective and fair. I'm stoked for this game. The only thing, and I"ve said it before. Yes it is clearly taking from God Of War. But that's a good thing. Just like how Symphony of the Night took from Super Metroid. Some are making it sound like it's bad that it did this. But yet it's fun. So no problems there.
This clearly is going to be a expensive and busy few months. I mean this, Fallout New Vegas, ...
Uh what the other guy said. SOTN (though an amazing game) was a rip off of Metroid. Additionally, the original Castlevania games were not free roam in that way.
But actually in SOTN you could not go anywhere when ever you wanted. Much was blocked off until you gained powerups. And it sounds like in this game, you can go back to any level, and do new things that you could not before.
So please, this is not just a GoW rip off, it takes from it, but just as muc...
At Teflon:
There is a difference between songs that are 3.2 mbs a piece, and will never get bigger. And games that continue to grow in size, this generation some are capping and going beyond 50 gigabytes. Next generation is going to probably be double or triple that. Especially America our Internet infrastructure is not ready for big digital distribution like that.
We are 28th in the world for best Internet connection, we don't have the best, mainly because we are...
RPG's do have a set bound, that of exploring in a non-linear world. XIII was too linear. And felt shallow as hell. There was nothing (once you got to the non-linear part) that was really deep feeling, the world just felt empty.
And the first X were pretty similar to one another, so yea, there were bounds.
I think this is good and bad. IMO that may just be used as excuses for XII and XIII's radical change. I don't care for that honestly. I think they should alter it, but to me they have went too far in altering it, and created some subpar games. I-X were well done. To a point with a series, and a genre you should stay somewhat with in the bounds of it, change is good, but sometimes too much just goes too far, and you start taking away core aspects of the game.
I agree as well. Though both were outstanding games, and as some one said above ME2 was way more polished, it was kinda watered down too much. Some one once put it best. ME1 was an RPG with shooting aspects. While ME 2 is a Shooter with RPG aspects.
I really hope they give ME3 it's RPG core back. I think they need to blend ME1 and ME2 to make ME3.
Uhh....you know people go to stores such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart for other things besides Kinect......are you for real?
Yea I bought 28 Days Later on blu today, went around town looking for good deals on Alien Anthology, and every where I went huge displays of Kinect with many copies left.
Are you trying to just make up stuff so you can believe Kinect is selling more then you really think?
