I get the feeling that this post was entirely satire, just because of a) the hyperbolic language which I find it hard to believe would come from someone speaking seriously and b) the sheer stupidity of the reasoning.

Wow, there is so much wrong with this.
First off, the sample sizes are completely different: 267000 compared with over a million.
Also, only two videos in no way reflects every other video on Youtube as well as hype in general. Those numbers could be entirely determined by the age of each channel's subscribers.
