Anyway, whether or not the PSN outage is good for Sony, I hope that it is back up soon for us gamers' sake.
Point taken then, I suppose.
Yes, for anyone that is now introduced to PSN, they associate it with being hacked, which isn't exactly the image that Sony wants for it.
We'll see, I imagine Sony shareholders aren't too happy seeing as their share prices is declining.
Not sure really, yes it's getting more media attention, but only enough to make it into the tech sections of mainstream media, until it hits the 6 O'clock News, I don't think any Grandmas will be running towards Sony (if they can indeed run in the first place).
Another great episode, keep it up.
Well, it's a 330 degrees, so some gamers must care. Also, I never claimed this to be a large drop, I stated the numbers right there and then in the article, even said these were short term problems.
The market opened at a significant drop from the previous day and it had been declining from the last few days which heavily suggests that something is going wrong; if you look at what is going wrong you'll see that PSN is down. Put 2 and 2 together and you get 4.
@shikamaroooo No, New York Stock Exchange was open yesterday, if it wasn't they're wouldn't be any data at all.
Actually Microsoft stock is worth less currently than Sony stock.
@Daoshai
Yes, Sony stocks were recovering but over the past few days they have fallen, during the past few days PSN has been down and Sony has been scrambling to fix it. I'm aware that stocks drop 5-10% all the time, and it's for reason like this. ...
@Information Minister Actually, the share price was already falling when the earthquake hit Japan which exacerbated the problem. It had since recovered partially before this latest fall.
Making the world a better place, one care package at a time!
"off topic: how was system memory and the processor being used at their respected full potential by Linux, a bad thing?"
That isn't a bad thing, but the process of hacking enables a) piracy and b) hacking in online games. That's the problem.
"on topic: what happened to team overflow after geohotz settled?(since they too were being sued)"
Nothing really, they got out of the spot light the moment this kicked off, Ge...
Great episode guys, laughed out loud on a couple of occasions.
Haha, quite an enjoyable article, it's like the thing you'd see on Gamesradar.
Another great episode as usual.
Keep it up!
Great, keep 'em up. They'll be really useful on the later levels.
Don't freak out guys, it's a satirical website, this isn't meant to be taken seriously, just look at the name of the author.
I played it on the PS3 and it's fine, the quality of the games kind of negate the crappy port quality, but knowing Valve it would probably be best on the PC.
Ah, but this has more media coverage and hence is a bigger threat; did you forget the rules: whatever is yelled at you loudest, you should be afraid of.
