That is not true at all, and concessions were made, the 10-year deals, putting CoD, A/B and MS games on every other cloud service. MS thought they were good concessions, but the CMA did not. I do have an SX and a SS, I like the form factor, it was cheap and compliments My SX and PC. The biggest reason though is that I can play cross-play enabled games with my 2 sons, the oldest on the PC, me on the SX, and my youngest on the SS.
