I'm not a fan of gaming on the iPhone or iPod Touch, or just mobile gaming in general. This port just solidifies my idea that mobile gaming is meant to sell games for the purpose of making a quick buck, despite the fact that the gameplay, controls, and other mechanics never really leave one fulfilled.
I never really expected much out of this game. Glad I didn't get excited over what turned out to be a lackluster fighter.
This is a game I am very interested in. It just looks like no-nonsense game with good shooting action.
When I played the demo for this at E3, I instantly got that kick of nostalgia. I immediately thought, "This is going to be one hell of a game!"
Both the Wii and DS versions of this game absolutely wowed me at E3. They were both so much fun. And regarding the Wii version, THAT is how Sonic should play in a 3D game.
When I saw the 3DS in action I was amazed that it worked. It's going to be one heck of a system.
Good memories with the N64 original. I wonder how true of a remake/sequel this will be. Looks good so far.
I've always loved the Marvel vs. Capcom games. The no-nonsense fighting style of these games keeps you hooked, but it's the cast of characters that intially pulls you in.
Tried out the demo for this. The controls felt so natural. I'm really digging the new control scheme.
I had been waiting for a new Twisted Metal for so long. I love the series, and after hearing David Jaffe say that there were no plans for a new game yet, it surprised me to see that he had just been playing a practical joke on all of us.
I got a chance to play the full demo at E3 this year, and I have to say it really impressed me. The platforming is great, the dark environment is gripping, and the way you can affect the outcome of certain aspects of the game through your decisions is so sweet.
It's so awesome how the keyboard and guitar are real instruments now. I never saw this coming, but I'm glad it happened.
I'm just eagerly anticipating any details Nintendo's willing to dish out regarding the 3DS. Hope the rumors are true about it having an analog stick.
That's very true. The replay value is there. And believe me, the original N64 version would easily warrant a 5/5 rating. But given the fact that both control options in the VC version have their own flaws, it's hard to give this game a perfect score. It's nothing against the game; it's just that the controls are lacking in one way or another on the VC.
Looks like a very fun game. I often contemplate making a purchase whenever I'm at a games store, but I tend to overlook it. Perhaps I should give it a go.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a worthy pick for game of the month. It's an incredible platformer, and it really shows that Nintendo cares about the Mario franchise.
It is indeed one of the most entertaining games for a Nintendo console, but certain aspects haven't aged especially well. The lasting value, for example, is good, but even with alternate routes, it's a fairly short game. Not to mention the control quirks on the Virtual Console version. Those are all little things that keep it from getting a 5/5 score.
What can one say about Mario Galaxy 2? It's an amazing platformer that expands on everything the Mario franchise has done right up to this point. In my opinion, there is no better platformer out right now than Mario Galaxy 2.
There are so many great titles that they could port. I doubt they ever will, because Microsoft has yet to do anything big with Rare since they partnered up nearly a decade ago.
I tried the demo for this at E3, and it seems like a fun game. Definitely a lot more light-hearted and over-the-top than the SmackDown vs. Raw games. This seems like it will be a lot of fun for those who loved games such as No Mercy and Day of Reckoning.
