Excellent graphics, Great production values, spot-on voice acting, fun play mechanics and varied gameplay
In the infamous words of Tom Smykowski from Office Space:
"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!?!!"
I didn't know that!
This site. It's really a big joke sometimes...
Xvid is the competing codec to Divx. If Sony signed on with Divx, that means they probably won't do any alternate codecs for a while.
But I guess we can hope, right?
RoundPeg edited the statement at the bottom. Guess he chickened out...
Or did your fanboy denial state forget about those?
Besides, there's nothing wrong with wanting to play a game, no matter what system it's for. Fanboys can be really childish...
Even though I can run a DVI cable to my TV, i'd still like to just be able to use my system I already have set up (PS3, HDMI 1.3 CAT-2 certified gold-plated cable, 50" Sony A-3000 SXRD RPHDTV). Couldn't be simpler than that.
Not!!!
Looks like i'll be watching more video files on my PS3 in the near future. Glad to see they finally collaborated. Now let's hope that they enable all forms of divx and not just one single file format.
@ jyltle: You're right. Xvid would be nice, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
Sure are adamant about that...
You fail! Took me about 25 minutes :)
Then again, you can never resist a great opportunity to show your fanboy colors, eh?
And you guys call yourselves better than PS3 fanboys...
Anyway, that's a great update for XBLM. If I had live, i'd be all over this... I was almost tempted to get live just so I could download REZ and IKARUGA in the near future, but I think i'll wait a little longer. I suppose once more XBOX games come out i'll have to jump in on the fun. I mean, 1600 points for a full xbox game isn't too shabby!
At least Microsoft is being pro-active about giving more people the...
I can see them over the horizon! We'll get people in here thinking they know more than Naughty Dog, attempting to dispel those claims that they are happy over the PS3 hardware. ;-)
Anyway, it's good to see how well Naughty Dog has a grasp on the PS3 hardware. Hopefully they can share their development techniques with other studios so they can make games that are equally as technologically impressive on the PS3.
I can't even remember the last time I have visited 1up.com, and I don't even feel any remorse at all. Terrible reviewers!
You know, it's really not so bad, eh?
I played it on my 360 and it was a great game. Lots of moody atmosphere and insane splicers screaming for your blood. Anyone who bashes this game should quit gaming altogether because that's just stupid.
Oh, and MART: It's constantly been explained that MGS4 is not coming to the 360, so what's the excuse for all the 360 fans who beg and beg for that to come over to the 360? Fanboyism is a curse!
Dude, why bother commenting when you just end up answering your own question. If you're not going to bother with the PS3 version, don't comment here in this article and waste the site bandwidth. PS, COD3 is a horrible example to post here; it was a terrible port on the PS3. UT:III on the PS3 has been receiving nothing but praise, with some sites labeling it a worthy competitor to the PC version for what it offers technologically.
Lair was bashed mostly for its poor control scheme. If anything, blame Factor 5 for forcing loose SixAxis controls on gamers. The game itself is a visual marvel, with vast landscapes being rendered natively in 1080p. At this stage of their PS3 development experience, I think Factor 5 squeezed as much as they could out of the system and it showed.
I guess you haven't heard of something called the "Red Rings of Death". What about Microsoft's overpriced accessories that should come standard with the system? Proprietary HDD? Play and Charge kit? Proprietary 100 dollar wireless adaptor? Give me a break!
Both systems have their shortcomings, but i'm tired of hearing about how people think one or the other is god-like. Just play your freakin' games!
edit: I should have guessed it was sarcasm, lol, thou...
