You said yourself that the game was in development long before the decision for 360 was made. 2nd, since you agree that the game is completely linear, it makes no difference the limitations of the dvd. you can put the game onto as many discs as you want and it won't detract from anything other than the number of pauses from swaps. lets not forget that FF 7 is probably the best FF and it was on what...4 CDs? there is no reason to believe that the limitations of the disc format caused an is...
You can't say that. the fanboys need to convince themselves that one system that they rally behind is the only system worth owning. you're going to ruin it!
nah, j/k. if common sense hasn't overcome by now, it never will.
EDIT: sorry boss, i think i misunderstood the point you were trying to make
Thank you for being the one person in this thread who cares to think before they speak. Didn't even occur to me to point out that fact. this game was way past planning stages, way past cast and crew, way past even early development. they had already made all the decisions that all the reviews are citing as flaws. these people are just so sad that they need to stretch their views beyond the extent of the problem. there is a major problem with SE...their fickle fans.
Not a single complaint from the reviews i've read have had anything to do with it also being on dvd. i'm so sick of hearing the fanboys cry about this. the facts are these... FF has always been linear, the combat has almost always changed from game to game, and the game has always been cut scene dominant. the main complaints are that the combat has devolved, that the story is a little weaker along with the voice acting and dialogue, and that the game is too linear. read the articles befo...
This article isn't nearly as well written or clever as the author obviously thinks it is. i do agree with some of his points, but come on...there are tons of games that way fewer people still play. a few of which seemed to just plain steal the main gameplay mechanic (hiding behind chest-high walls). also, the first gears was great despite the broken online host advantage. i'll give you the 2nd one. basically the same game with an even more broken online component.
point is, ...
I love Crysis and find nothing boring about it. You can play the game many different ways, it looks amazing, it's partially sandbox, the gameplay varies as your progress. there is nothing factual about your statement, and while i'm perfectly happy with accepting your flawed opinion, you don't even support your claim. if Crysis is boring, then i don't know what game is fun. maybe fps just isn't your thing. but hey, lets keep criticizing the few developers that set new standards and shower...
he's been doin this for how long? and he still can't vid cap his reviews? he's just pointing a camera at the screen....
@palak...ps3 came out in 2006. and 360 came out in 2005. i don't know what all of you are saying, but i'm just about ready for a new gen. i can hold out another year or two, but as someone else said, when 2007 had a game (crysis) that looks leaps and bounds better than anything we've seen since (especially on console), i'm ready for some improved hardware....
I really like everything i've seen about this game for years now. been an almost guaranteed day one purchase (still is), but dont' tell me some of your inspiration comes from one of the most boring, pointless shows i've ever wasted my life watching. that's not at all a selling point in my book. you're forgiven, alan. just don't let it happen again.
for what purpose, exactly, do you employ the use of a 'douche bag' so frequently that you consider them to be "common"?
EDIT: oh, and by the way, do you know how barren and boring the comment sections of n4g would be if the only comments were positive ones? who said comments needed to be limited to the things that you like, admire, respect, or appreciate. a disapproving commenter has as much right as any other. and for that reason, i'm giving you a bubble to help y...
that's the image that stood out for me as well. the difference is undeniable (to a level headed, non-fanboy that is).
with that said, neither version is graphically impressive and the pixelation on the shadows is pathetic. this will be a rental or a pick-up-later-in-the-bargain-b in purchase.
So many things i didn't notice.
pretty hypocritical name for a guy who obviously made no effort to listen to their thoughts. the review doesn't complain at all about visuals or audio quality. it talks about the chracters, combat, story, dialogue, etc... none of which have anything to do with compressed data or multiple discs.
the score doesn't really seem to go along with what they said though. the review basically says that it's a title completely worth checking out while the score implies that it's averag...
people should stop "demanding" remakes. let the art stay the way it is.
Your Soul!
barely any comments and yet it's one of the "hottest" articles. give me a break. who other than complete fps noobs think COD is worth spending even more money on?
On their 4th installment? I wonder if the ps3-only guys will make the same complaints about this that they are making about Halo?
I for one think this is great news for anyone who likes socom. i know tons of people who were really disappointed with the last release, so hopefully this makes up for it. maybe i'll even find myself testing out the series for the first time since the first one.
EDIT: a disagree in less than a minute. with which part are you disagree...
You made a second account that is obviously saaking, and then say "i agree with saaking." how pathetic. gee, i wonder if saa-emperor, the guy that just made a new account and shares the same first 3 letters, is the same guy?
Gave you a bubble cuz i don't think 99% of the people with just 1 bubble actually deserve it. but uh....you spelled hating wrong.
normally i'd agree with you, sept the article isn't about graphics or the better version which makes me think you and many other ppl just read the title and commented. maybe you all just wanna get your comments up first...who knows. the article is about a special bonus the ps3 purchasers get. i was wondering what this card was for...now i know. guess i better enter the code.
@the guy below me: the reason you control only one person is because it's a combination of turn based...
