How would it decrease ??? The teams needed to make big budget games is upwards of 200+ people, games in the 90's were made by 10 people max, in the 80's one or two people made a single game.... these people dont work for free, they get paid pretty good salaries. There were reports it cost Rockstar $265 Million to make GTA5, more for Red Dead 2....people on this site need to understand the economics of the gaming industry. Of course publishers need to make money and developers need t...
3D0 games were $59 back in 95, Saturn and PS1 games were $59 until about 97-98 then they lowered them to $50 to kill off Jaguar and 3D0 , 3rd party N64 games were $69 , hell I remember paying $69 for Killer Instinct on SNES....games were $60 for quite some time, not last gen
If you want to get rid of this type of stuff, the price of games HAS to increase, a new game has been $60 since the early '90's , which is almost 30 yrs ago, and that is only a minor increase since games have been around in the 80's. Nothing costs the same as it did 30 yrs ago... An Atari 2600 cost $199 in 1980, thats approx $800 in today money.... sorry, but if you want to eliminate this crap, ante up.
Games that deserve a sequel....
1. Darkwatch
2. Kill. Switch
3. Einhander
4. Armed and Dangerous
5. Eternal Darkness
there are ALOT of other games that deserve sequels but unfortunately will probably never see
reboot Eternal Champions, Biohazard Battle, Panzer Dragoon (anything), Otogi, Shinobi.... make a few upgraded arcade hits like Zaxxon and Congo Bongo.... They acquired the Space Marine license , so make a sequel to that, make a sequel to Vanquish....
My favorites would have to be
5. MK Trilogy
4. MK Shaolin Monks
3. MK Armaggedon
2. MK 9
1. MK 2
MK 2 when it came out in the arcade was IT, there was more of everything you loved and even better, MK2 legitimized itself as a 'real' fighting game, combos, moves etc, it made the street fighter crowd say woah, theres a new sheriff in town...
If youre asking about Warhammer 40K Inquisitor, its pretty good, kind of Diablo-esq , especially if you like the warhammer universe, definitely worth that price. Never played Vermintide so I have no opinion there.
I agree there.... it has been getting better and better since release
HAHAHAHA...that made my morning
I have alot of good memories of playing unreal tournament/championship online, playing daytona online on dreamcast, quake, etc.... its not the same anymore.....the thing with the cheating is, if youre winning game after game using cheats or other means , do you feel a real sense of victory knowing you are not winning legitimally? you are only saying youre not good enough and you have to cheat to feel good about yourself??? people got really pathetic the last 10 yrs or so...
Unbelievably pathetic how people are such douchebags that ruining something for others is amusing and they take pleasure in that fact.....gaming online has deterioated into a cesspool of scumbags and lowlifes. There are so many games online that are unplayable because of cheating. A hobby I once loved and was passionate about , has really circled the bowl and become so vile.....
Digital trade in is just another step toward a media-less (disc) generation. It provides the company with another argument to the gamer who says they want to buy their games on disc so they can trade them in or sell them if they want later....and another nail in gamestops coffin
there is no online gameplay for original xbox titles. It sucks .... they should turn it back on
It has the earmarks of the early 80's crash, as it was everyone trying to cash in on something that started out with quality ideas that were making money to flooding the market with everyones crap shovelware games that were just copies of something that WAS successful until the market collapsed in on itself. Gamers themselves have no one to blame but themselves for this direction the industry is heading in.
None of those reasons are valid enough , unless youre a hardcore fan of a developers series. Which means youre getting it day 1 because youre a fan of the series, not his reasons listed.
I remember getting the SNES controller adapter as I heard it made it play better.... it did ...... barely...loved the White Zombie soundtrack
Still own it.... in my 3D0 collection
The VR version of Stardust is an incredible experience, even for those that get VR sickness, the game gives you the feeling of floating in the vastness of space, but the motion sickness is removed, its colorful, flashy, and amazing to play
As a software only company, it would seem the obvious direction is software only. Console is the short term for them, a way to deliver "their" games and content. You will probably see one more console from them and they will transition into Xbox as a service to other areas where you can only play their content when you pay for the Xbox service. The writing is on the wall, Look at EA access, Xbox game pass, PS Now.... physical media has been killed by the used market, Billions of ...
How many times can you keep putting the same games on sale??? change it up
