They WOULD do it IF there was more $$$ to be made from it...sad truth is publishers make more from console game sales, whether the contributing factors are shrinking PC user base, pirating is soooo much easier, compatibility problems with 100's of different PC configurations, dev's & pub's figure its a waste of time & resources (ie $).......to the Batman point....thats a stupid reference because I can say thats already happened, I used to play Asteroids on my Atari 2600 , ...
@ Mystic Summer , I'm 14.5 hrs into the game, ( doing the side missions along with the main story ) its a lot of fetch quests, get me this , bring that back, shoot the mutants blocking your path, VERY repetitive, the bright spot I think are the races to participate in town, the story is typical Fallout 3 post apocalyptic stuff, it does pick up somewhat, there are 'mini' boss fights in the main story , but , like you I pushed through hoping for the wow to kick in, I think I just m...
Wow!! I didn't know you already played it through, you sure are priviledged
Thanks for imparting your wisdom on us John.... no kidding a PC is more powerful than current consoles, current consoles are 7+ yr old tech. Why don't you explain why id hasn't made a good game in 20 yrs, everything is graphics this, shadows that, how about a game thats fun to play?
W O W ...... I loved Darksiders, this looks to be a classic in the making. Day 1 for me.
I thought I sensed Colecovision myself....
Halo 2 started out good, then just bogged down, the story was soooo ridiculous, Halo 3 was even worse, 1/2 way through it was Titanic, "just sink already"... I actually liked the ODST story, the flashbacks to your squads battles leading up to the end was a unique twist I thought, I couldn't finish Reach I just started having Halo 2/3 flashbacks.
I agree, great game AND I got it for the cheap being a PS+ member. playing online though you have to have headsets, it just adds to the tension when you're all chattering trying to help everyone stay alive in firefights...
That was actually a pretty good read, kinda of showing where gaming is going. The game industry has become a victim of itself, publishers want 10-20-30 million in profits and developers want 10-20-30 million to make a game, well someone has to lose, usually the developer whose game sold squat for whatever reason and almost buried the publisher in the process. That's why we have sequel after sequel and now all these small indie games are surfacing, cost is exponentially lower, and it reaps...
I have a news flash....games are already $70 plus, I have been gaming since the Atari and this generation is the worst. The waters were tested last gen mainly on the xbox, $4 for a new golf course or two, $6 for a few new halo maps etc, just to see if it could be done. Problem was, at first you got a full game and the add-on's were just that, prolonging your gaming enjoyment and interest further. NOW it completely out of control... DLC on the disc that you have to pay for to unlock, have ...
Aliens Infestation for the DS pays homage to that game ( Alien 3 ), check it out if you can. Not many games I like on the DS , but that is really good
I got my Vita early, and LOVE IT! Stardust is great, Uncharted yup, Target has a buy 2 get 1 free sale this week , so I'll be getting some new Vita games
The Vectrex was/is pretty cool, picked up one on ebay with about 20 games and 'overlays' got it mainly because I loved playing star castle in the arcades and could now play it again, back in the day that game was the 'killer app' for the vectrex, no home system could even try to do it and it was pretty spot on.....ahhh the old days
is that the new one from Naughty Dog? Hopefully it doesn't need a bunch of patches after release....
Got it for my niece for christmas, she wants to be an artist, she likes it and has done some pretty nice stuff with it....she has a wii, it would be interesting to know how many from each platform equates in the 1.4 mil
Delaying it to get Wii U sales.....would be my guess
I played the demo, and while the graphics are nice and detailed, the levels are too simple and can be completed rather quickly....if this was $7 or $8 it would be worth an impulse buy, but at $15...not a chance....I'll wait and maybe PS+ will give this a deep discount
great game....still looks great today. I'd love to see a re boot or a sequel
I thought they may have went the HD remake route, HD, 3D, trophies, fix up the graphical glitches, maybe throw KZ liberation in as a bonus....dont even have to have guerilla do it, farm it out to a capable studio pay them a couple hundred grand and voila.....
People expected the game to be the 2nd coming, but it was just another FPS, it was developed and written out in the '90's and just updated with some newer tech that's all. It's a nostalgia trip for fans, it has potty humor, sexism, machismo, and it laughs at itself. Reviewers today are such stuck up snobs its really ridiculous. Whatever happened to having fun for a few hours? I'm sorry I can still have fun with a game even if there is a bad texture or it drops a couple of ...
