I ingance the S stands for something like Persona 5: The Scarlet or maybe Scarlet Thieves edition. M could be referring to a game focusing on Mementos, and B can only stand for one thing, Persona 5: Back in the Hood, The leprechaun cross-over they'll never see coming.
Honestly I think I would have to go with Monster Hunter World, I was not expecting to even like the game when I rented it do how little I enjoyed other games with similar mechanics, but something about World just clicked with me and I ended loving the game a lot.
Judgment getting announced for the west the same day it was announced for Japan, It's really exciting as a fan of yakuza to see the series has become popular enough in the west that Sega was willing to confirm localization has the game was announced.
I'd say Yakuza 4's remaster delay in Japan, normally I wouldn't really mind a delay, but given it was set to release soon after Sony started there new policy regarding sexual content in niche games, this delay has me worried that Yakuza is being hit by the policy.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, They have had a consistent stream of fantastic games this entire generation, even if Yakuza 6 was a huge disappointment I've still got the most out of there games than any other developer.
Honestly, I'd say Nippon ichi Software, primary cause because there Disgaea 1 remake promise was the most disappointing for me this generation. The idea of being able to play Disgaea 1 with all of the gameplay improvements and quality of life stuff they put in 5 was certainly exciting for fans of the series. Sadly that's not what we got, Instead this promised "remake" was actually just a port of the PC version of Disgaea 1 with updated sprites added in.
Takaya Kuroda, voice of Kiryu Kazuma.
Pretty much all of the voice actors from Chaos Wars.
Toshihiro Nagoshi Hands down, In my opinion he has made the best open world games the industry has to offer. The Yakuza games are brilliant with how much they varied content they put into those small maps.
Shigeru Miyamoto, While no denying he's been one of the most influential figures in the industry, I really don't like his hard stance against stories in video games.
Gonna have to go with Toshihiro Nagoshi (Super Monkey Ball, Binary Domain, Yakuza) his open world games feel so alive.
Kirby, his design always came across as lazy to me.
ZIdane from FFIX, I always thought he had a fun design.
Open world games, If developers would get rid of the idea that the size of the world equals the quality I think we could start getting much better games.
Collect-a-thon platformers, they always felt the most satisfying to me.
Live service single player games, I generally don't mind grinding in games, but it really annoys me when the grinding is really only there to try and get you to spend money so there will be less grind.
Meaningful side content in open world games, there a couple os series like Yakuza do that but largely they just tend to be time wasters.
I think with the success of games like the regnited trilogy, N.sane trilogy, A Hat in Time, and Yooka Laylee we are starting to see a resurgence of 3D Platform platformers especially compared to last generation.
Cross Edge, not only was the combat dull but the developers thought it a good idea to add 2D platforming sections into the game with random encounters, and since those encounters killed you momentum if you got into a random battle during a jump, you'd have start that section over again.
Yakuza 3 already got a remaster, it came out in Japan back in August.
