I want to know how the story ends at the very least. It's freaking cliffhanger city right now.
Where's my apology for Front Mission Evolved?
Here was my response, in case you don't want to give the article any hits.
"Sure we can all agree that AI that insta-head shots you is a bit cheap, but what about programming AI that aims more for the head, as opposed to the torso? (as is so prevalent in today’s games) I mean, real players generally aim for the head, right? So why not give the AI the same mindset?"
I wouldn't mind if the enemy went for headshots, and in fact, in most games t...
I'm not even at 10% of his score. If they had Gamerscore when I was a kid, though...
Sheesh. I would have blown that out of the water. Losing 8+ hours of gaming time and energy to working is a drag sometimes.
Like I'm going to trust a guy's opinion on localization that can't even type a sentence properly.
You put two niche companies, and you don't include Atlus? XSeed and Nippon Ichi can't even beat Atlus out of the niche market. How are they supposed to beat Square-Enix out of the mainstream?
Poorly developed article and argument.
Sheesh. That was pretty underwhelming.
The last "boss" from Black being a collection of the same generic enemies you were fighting the entire game was pretty damn lame.
Take for example, Front Mission Evolved.
So turn based strat games weren't selling, and they wanted to see if the IP could be turned into a TPS. That's fine, give it a shot. You need to make money. Ignore that fans on that one and give it a try.
But then you go and write one of the dumbest stories in video game history. In the first instance, I understand that the company vision trumps fan outcry. In the second, fan outcry should get that guy fired....

Best character ever. He better show up in MvC 3 somewhere, too.

And it's Day 1 DLC. I'm going to take a couple page's out of Public Enemy's book and I will both not believe the hype, and fight the power by not buying this game.
Bunch of damn sellouts.
I'll probably just rent this, if anything now.
I figured the song selection was going to be weak, but putting up censored versions of the song is completely wrong.
I believe Famitsu's numbers were, "Numbers we didn't pull out of our ass."
I didn't say I "got behind them", I said I got the drop on them, like a flank attack when they're shooting at one of my teammates. Plus, the assassination leaves you wide open for way too long.
I am seeing the burst of yellow when I melee them, btw. That's why I'm pretty sure their shields are dropped. Yesterday I was in a game with the scored tied 49-49. I shot a guy, dropped a perfect grenade on him to drop his shields while he thought he was behin...
But some of the content makes sense. I play Reach. I like it. It's not the best, but I enjoy it enough. Multiplayer game-type selection is a huge problem. Snipers should really be its own game type. They don't have a "Melee only" mode, why put in a mode into the rotation that only rewards one facet of gameplay?
Speaking of melee, that's totally busted, too. I'll engage a guy with damaged shields while I have full shields. I shoot, he shoots, I melee,...
But I'd definitely hire his non-Union Mexican counterpart, Mexican McGee.
How about a better list, and one that won't force you to click through 3 pages:
1) Master of Orion
2) X-Wing
3) Wing Commander
4) Descent Freespace
5) Star Control
FFTA: The game where you convince your best friend to go back to a reality where he's a cripple, your female friend is ostracized, and your life is awesome. Yeah, that's a guy I want to idolize.
Also, the tactics part of FFTA was really done quite poorly. 2 of the races' limit breaks were basically useless. Limiting classes to the races was also a bad move in my book.
I loved the original. So then I picked up the remake for the PSP. What a crock of crap that remake was. It sounds like some elementary school kid DM-ing his recess-time D&D game with a thesaurus. Whoever re-wrote that garbage doesn't realize that those words DO NOT MEAN WHAT HE THINKS THEY DO.
I still love all SRPGs, but there haven't been any that approach Tactics in terms of story and strategy. I dug Luminous Arc 1 & 2 for the characters, but the overall sto...
The majority of those characters are ALWAYS in the DW games. (well, at least every one since DW4.) I think they need to do something like Orochi, but with all of the great Chinese heroes from the "swords and sorcery" era.
