Sony doesn't really have a case against him as is let alone anything else to sue him for.
What Rodeoo said, Sony won't get lucky again like when they forced an entire import shop out of business. (ad as fallout got play-asia to stop shipping playstation stuff in Europe)
Google offered him an internship actually.
Sheep will buy it regardless so not necessarily.
No, Japanese gamers have abandoned consoles. As a result Japanese developers make games for their core fanbase. One could argue that western devs have abandoned handhelds.
It's called a 3DS. :P
@gamingdroid
It actually would cost that much, in order to re-introduce the PS2 hardware they would also need to redesign the slim motherboard which currently has little space to put PS2 hardware and would need to be re-engineered. That brings cost up for the unit as a whole and that's not counting cooling and design efforts to actually fit all that in the slim form factor. At the very least it would eat away the profit they recently started making on each unit and cost them a ton...
@gamingdroid, I don't think anyone wants to pay 400-500$ for a PS3 at this time so adding the extra hardware is a no-no at this time. With the difference in price you're better off just getting a PS2 with Component cables.
@mantismo yeah some people somehow fail to remember that fact, the partial software based PAL 60GB and US 80GB had a lot of problems with their emulation that Sony had to manually patch. It the end making the system cheaper was a greater priority and the cos...
They couldn't if they wanted too. The 60 and 80GB models both had PS2 hardware in them, 80GB units actually had some decent emulation fro the Emotion engine but the Reality synthesizer is impossible to emulate on the PS3 GPU as it has more bandwidth than the RSX. Bringing back BC would require a pretty much per game conversion to which it would be more worthwhile to just port the games which has the added benefit of being profitable. BC never went anywhere for early adopters. If you want ...
Excuse me what? The only reason that MS offered the extended warranty for the 360 was because they were facing a class action lawsuit and were threatened with a recall of the 360 hardware.
3 points where this comparison is pointless.
1. VgChartz numbers are terrible and NPD has dis-proven their December figures.
2. When doing a comparison like the article is doing on has to point out that 5+ years into last gen we were already seeing next gen systems. Comparing sales on an ongoing console gen Vs that generation's decline is unfair and sais a lot on its own if the 360's alegedly greatest sales period ever can't even match the PS2 in its decline.
Even so they can't prove he actually was accepting donations for the PS3 hack which he was not. His iPhone hacking was declared legal in court. Sony is grasping at straws here as is the rest of their claims.
It will probably be mandatory next gen. Piracy and killing the used markets and all.
PS3 doesn't play MKV files...
@Giant_Chibi I didn't know that. It actually makes sense!
Doesn't the PS3 already have all those capabilities?
Probably realised how terrible that would have been for continuity.
@Captain obvious.
It's obvious he was captured. He looks like he's tied up.
Yay for hating things cause you can't afford them. :D
Seriously though it is obvious that Sony is not targeting you with these products. I'm pretty sure there is a market for a dual 1080p 3D camera and that $1500 is only for early adopters in time there will be more affordable models.
Exactly, the legal binding of EULAs is not 100% recognised as you don't agree to the terms before you purchase the product. It's also not a contract essentially. There have been cases like this in the past where EULAs were invalidated for these reasons.
