Go watch the story trailer again and tell there is a downgrade. It looks even better than when they first showed the game off.
It looks like they changed the time of day so that it is dusk which is the only thing I really notice. Hardly a downgrade. It looks superb to my eyes.
Agreed. Just fantasizing about fully overhauled CGI sequences. Even the originals are incredible still though so I have nothing to complain about.
I think that it would be so awesome if they made brand new CGI cutscenes for thid that look as good as FFXIIIs CGI but I know that would be asking too much and would be expensive.
@Abriael: Just got that on Steam yesterday even though I still have my original FFVII disc for PS1. Ah the memories. I play through it once a year along with Xenogears , Chrono Cross, FFVIII, FFIX, along with a few other of my favorite classics.
Yea I'm very excited for this as well. All the footage I have seen for it has been gorgeous. I always wanted to see Rapture before it's downfall and looking pristine and alive and now we finally get to experience it.
Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, Koji Kondo, Hitoshi Sakimoto, Motoi Sakuraba (just to name a few) still live and breath and still compose music for video games so I don't know what this guy is talking about.
My jaw dropped when he said that. That guy needs some damn glasses if he thinks this game could be achieved on the PS3.
I know he said that but what that means in my opinion is that Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are two halves of the same game. I know that Kojima said that GZ is the prologue but it is probably a long prologue. If you look at the TGS demo for GZ then it has it's own title screen and it has several mission select slots which tells me it will be relatively long for a prologue which spans multple missinos. Hopefully before this year ends we will get GZ.
When did IGN confirm that? Link? All I know is that Kojima is constantly asked this question about how they are be sold and he always says" I can't talk about that right now". Well why the hell not? it's obvious to me that it is going to be sold separately or else there wouldn't be any confusion.
It's a proven fact that video games help to counter degenerative brain diseases and helps keep your coordination sharp. It is good for elderly people to play video games since it also helps with problem solving skills too. I will never stop playing video games and I am 29 years old. There is nothing wrong with being a gamer unless it gets in the way of paying bills then you obviously need to get your priorities straight but I don't ever let that happen.
Im 29.
I loved this commercial. I have been with Playstation since the very beginning and I cannot wait to continue the PS experience with PS4. I love the FF VII reference from the beginning when the Sephiroth said " your too late I've already summoned Meteor" lol classic. I think I am going to go play it now.
Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX are tied as my absolute favorites in the series. I just can't pick one over the other but even though both games are highly nostalgic for me I have to give VII a slightly bigger nod since it was my very first FF game that I have played and got me into JRPGS even more than I already was. I was 13 when it came out. Man time flies.
It isn't a clone of Ico. It is obviously inspired by Ico but it is only paying homage to an exceedingly brilliant game. Calling it a clone is an insult to the developers making Rime. Rime looks like a beautiful and artistic gaming experience that I can't wait to play.
@Pedro: Final Fantasy VII cost $45 million to make which is equivalent to 64 million as of last year. I would say that is a significant amount of money to spend on a game.
Demon souls was really hard for me because I have never played anything like it before and had know idea how to play it properly. That is the only reason it was harder for some people but if both games are equally hard if you are talking about gameplay. I think anyone would think there first souls experience is gonna be incredibly brutal and unforgiving though so i'll give you that.
I don't know how anyone could possibly say that. They were both equally difficult in my opinion. They just had slight gameplay differences from each other.
Holy fu***ing sh**. This was just perfection. Troy is such a brilliant voice actor and I love seeing him continue to evolve and hone his skills.
XBONE and PS4 aren't released on the same day.
