Oh man I can't wait to see some footage for this. I hope there is a trailer at E3 next year. I am intrigued to see where the story is going. A next gen ME game will be very welcome. I love space opera science fiction.
@pyramidshead: Hideo Kojima has mentioned several times now that he would love to see someone make a new Silent Hill game using his new Fox Engine so honestly I would expect one relatively soon and for next gen consoles. Can you imagine a next gen Silent Hill game made by a Japanese developer?. I hope they get the old team to make the next one. Team Silent were so freaking talented.
@Kurylo3d: You have to play SH 1-3 and then you will know what true horror is all about. They are intelligent and haunting. They are for people who can interpret art and find deeper meaning within the world of Silent Hill. It takes a little bit of mental footwork to figure everything out but thats the fun. They are incredibly atmospheric and well written. If you arent in to any of the things I mentioned then these games are simply not in your taste but I would at least try them first.
Those screenshots are just incredible. I have a feeling that Box Head is going to be The Evil Withins Pyramid Head and that he represents something about our protagonist's psyche. I love psychological horror for this reason. It acts as a puzzle and you need to interpret what the artists and writers are trying to show you. I bet the inside of Box Heads safe is a dark secret.
This definitely isn't your typical HD remastering. There is a very noticeable upgrade in the character models and magic effects. That is awesome you get to go into this as a fresh experience. you will love this game if you are a FF fan.
Clearly this guy has never played or even heard of Bioshock.
@wheresmymonkey: I didn't know that the Wii U was backwards compatible. I do want the new Zelda game and definitely X and Bayonetta 2. I already have my PS4 and gaming pc so i think it may be time to get a Wii U as well for the exclusives.
Yea I was just about to ask that question. I never owned a Wii but I will get a cheap one to play this. I mean It was created by the Godfather of Final Fantasy Hironobu Sakaguchi and one of the best video game composers of all time Nobuo Uematsu so it must be good. I just was never able to play this along with all the other Wii titles that everyone raves about like Xenoblade Chronicles and all the Legend of Zelda games. I think it may be high time I just go out and get a Wii so I can finally ...
They changed it today as a matter of fact. It has been confirmed.
So far i think the PS4 and Xbox One only have a digital release but I hope that is changed.
@Abriael. I'm sure that MGSV: The Phantom Pain will most likely have a cover made by Yoji Shinkawa. There is no way Kojima wouldn't do that for the big, main game. This is just the prologue after all so it really doesn't surprise me that we got this cover art instead.
You don't know that it's a prequel. Not sure why you are asserting that as fact.
Why would I laugh at someone who isn't funny at all?.
Agreed. He was so rude to the guests and was just horrendous in every way possible. You could tell Geoff was incredibly irritated with him. Terrible choice. Why couldn't they have gotten someone from the game industry along with Geoff to host?.
I agree but In spirit FFXIV also won in my opinion. They both are excellent games. I seriously am incredibly proud of Yoshida for what him and his team accomplished to turn that game around. I am very much looking forward to see what other games he directs in the future because have absolute faith in his abilities.
What?.
@Abriae: I never truly believed that the rumor was true but there is always that small posibility that it was true and if that was the case then I would have been extremely upset because the Luminous Engine has so much potential and I would love to see a Final Fantasy title built from scratch for next gen using it.
Ok I guess The Luminous Engine is still here thank goodness. I literally just read and article on here that had a rumor that it was scrapped.
Ito, Nomura, and Kitase are still there which means there is still hope.
@bessy67: It may take a couple hundred to a thousand years in the future so who knows what is in store for us but I agree with you that a prequel isn't a good way to go about it. I'm excited for a fresh cast of characters too. I think it would be cool if the lead character wasn't affiliated with the military like Shepard was but maybe be more of a rogue character like Han Solo or Mal from Firefly with the crew consisting of a colorful cast aliens and humans from all over the galax...
