WATCH FOR CRITICAL MASS..............
In terms of games, PS3 is getting its ass kicked all over the place.
Seriously now, the PS2 was my primary console last generation with the XBOX a very close second due to some sweet games like Jade Empire...
This time around, the XBOX360 is my primary console with the PS3 very much a way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaay distant second console.
I'm trying to think of all the PS3 90 and above "CRITICAL ACCLAIM" releases, and I can name them on my hand!

Innovative games and the playstation brand don't seem to mix too well. I tried Folklore out, and thought it pretty much sucked. I would have rather been playing Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell, so why did you even bother with this innovation crapola?!?!?
Compared to Fable a game that sold over 3 million, Folklore flat out sucked....
Nothing that is currently out except for that moment in Half Life....
Emotional to say the least. Also had to *definitely* be irked when GTA4 was delayed.
Because that was the best game of the year and best game of 2008, far better than all this Final Fantasy tripe and most things coming out of their studios.
I want a new kind of emotional impact, a Battlefield1942 and Halo kind of impact. May 2008 be the year.

Promising doesn't mean anything. Ninetynine Nights was touted by the 360 fans as being AAA and it was as bad as LAIR.
There are more first person games coming out quickly too, so the roster of AAA games will increase.
While nothing of those "promising" games for PS3 has any incline so far of being anything approaching AAA. Until the release of Metal Gear Solid 4, a year away which is ...

Maybe because the other 4 multiplatform games are BETTER on 360 and include things like Virtua Fighter has. Online.
So multiplatform games are going to matter this time. Whether one is better on the other or not matters the most. There will be less exclusives, so it will come down to which one does them better. 360 does all the current (multiplatformers) better and they don't have much worry there. Framerate is always...

I'm able to deal with a slower pace aka RPGs sometimes that's how. And you can do virtually anything you want in Fable, replay it in any way you want that sort of thing.
Folklore is a linear one stop ride to the end, 7.2 on my book.
Fable still very good, 9 easily, for an RPG game like that.

Its taking so long to get to the PS3 they might cancel it anyway, right? Especially if people only enjoy it on the PC/360.

If I was going to compare it to Fable which is in its same Genre, Fable was better in every way.
Folklore sucked.
I enjoyed playing through Fable again and again.
Didn't even want to finish Folklore.

By the way according to this list, Blue Dragon was very good(alot of people liked it), Ace Combat 6 was excellent, and alot of games like Dead Rising as well as the Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter series were excellent.
All of those games, and alot of them are exclusive. The multiplatform titles ...
360 still has plenty like Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Condemned 2: Bloodshot, Darkness, Unreal Championship, MechAssault and the likes of Guilty Gear: Overture.
Next year it also has Devil May Cry 4, Street Fighter 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, The Last Remnant(since everyone will buy this on 360), Guitar Hero 3, Dance Dance Revolution, the new Mech Commander and a slew of other action titles including Saints Row 2.
The momentum is unflinching, next year will be the 360's best year ...

Maybe you've never heard of Fable 2, Too Human, Mass Effect, Naruto Rise of Ninja, Ninja Gaiden 2, Lost Odyssey, Project: Offset, Gears of War 2, not to mention a slew of others.......
Team-deathmatch shooters and first person shooters, as well as sports games and adventure games. That is what floods the Xbox. All of those games I listed are exclusives...
"Ratchet will save it"
Ratchet will do hardly anything for the PS3 this year at all. Mario Galaxy will be on all the kids minds, and they will buy that 3 to 1 hands over fist than the new Ratchet game.
Marketing would have to work triple overtime to pull all the kids and platformers away from Mario Galaxy, Smash Brothers, and all that Nintendo does so flawlessly when it comes to the children.

The correct response would be the game lineup is looking like a joke. Ratchet is the extent of it, and all the kids will buy it yet still.....the rest of the games are games like Heavenly Sword which sucked.
And 2008 is 100 times better if not more so because then the PS3 actually has MGS4, FF13, and some AAA games. But its still too little, too late. The 360 has quite a few AAAs out and ready as well.

Well then Half Life: Orange Box, Virtua Fighter 5 Online, Forza Motorsport 2, Ace Combat 6, Naruto Rise of the Ninja, Call of Duty 4, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Saints Row, Blue Dragon, Mass Effect, Rainbow Six: Vegas and Crackdown all seem like great bets to me. But then you may just want to play any game you like, and use Xbox Live arcade which has the most of them....
And Too Human is being worked on until they can fine-tune everything, I love the newest battle character class.
They need to do whatever they feel is necessary with the game, because I can already see. This is going to be a great game, and thats what it should be as its been around the block quite a number of times.
The PS3 has largely flopped in North America, due to the fact it has no real games out at all worth mention.
Nothing to take notice. In 2008 when the games actually arrive, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy 13, and a few others.....I expect a better showing.
And the competition will be better. But Sony will not outsell the Xbox because of those games.
GTA4 will be out for the Xbox, and that will make this into a sprint closing the deal. Along with Gears of ...

Yeah, so PS3 obviously will see those games go multiplatform.
But there's plenty of "ORIGINAL" games that will go to PS3, thats the reason to get one. Games like ICO 4, Disgaea 5 things like that. When the price comes down I will be getting one for JUST THOSE GAMES, I have no doubt at all because some of them will rock the world.....But no chance of earlier, unless a real...
And the 360 is doing alot better in japan than the Xbox who would have thought an American developer would get this far.
I have to give props to them, may they continue to grow marketshare over there!!!!!
In North America they really lock the market down. :D
With 10(+) games in the 90 or above critically acclaimed status, I don't see PS3 ever catching up in North America again....

Ouch. Thems alot of games.
As for Japan, PS3 will easily take it away from Nintendo. And in the end some of the RPGs the 360 get will boost it up in Japan and make it much more competitive....that's how this generation ends.
