An interesting point, and I've updated this post with a video responding to the comments here.
To all: I, as a person, can remove something from a chest or backpack and keep my eyes around the room. How is looking away more realistic?
Awesome to hear it; we did too!
Even I, the author, agree with this.
@Xof Oh, I totally agree with you. I'm of the opinion that cel-shaded art styles hold up better than any other type of 3D visuals. I only say surprising because I've gone back to other non-realistic PS2-era games lately (like Kingdom Hearts, for instance) and, while they still look great, you can definitely tell that they're rough around the edges. Psychonauts, in contrast, looked quite clean. Surprisingly.
But when I played Wind Waker last fall...Ugh, if that isn...
Man, do I love podcasts...
Eh, I played it on PC earlier this year and the quirky cartoon art style holds up surprisingly well.
YES!
And also, OH YEAH!
You had me at, "Alpacas are pretty awesome."
Good gosh, if that long-rumored Kingdom Hearts HD Collection gets announced at TGS this year...Mind blown like never before.
These special somethings are the reasons why I regret selling my DS as a desperate college student...
Box art? Surely you haven't seen the cover of Mario Party 9...

Granted, he got a spot on New Super Mario Bros. 2, but it seems like he still gets the backseat unless it's blatantly obvious that he shouldn't.
Ha, but of course this is all just silly talk. No need to start any hot-blooded argumen...
Ah, I have such a soft spot for Luigi...someone I built this idea throughout my childhood that Mario was a jerk in the limelight, leaving Luigi to sulk in the background.
Plus, Luigi's Mansion is a lovely game.
As someone who hasn't played City but beat Asylum for the very first time no more than a week ago, I obviously had a different experience than you. Still, I see where you're coming from. The mission structure was usually organized in such a way where I could grapple and glide from area to area with little time spent on foot, but having to traverse the entire island admittedly felt funky.
Oh, and that damn elevator section...Even on Normal it sucked. As great as the h...
You should really (REALLY) check out this free indie game called Zineth if you're looking for some spectacular art.
Tis true, although I feel that the Wii U exists in a different market environment than Nintendo has faced before and the company should be doing more to promote it.
Again, these are all personal opinions, and there's a good reason I'm not in charge of Nintendo's marketing department. They surely know what's up better than I do.
I salute you, sir, for biting this bullet for the rest of us.
Heard that if it sells remarkably well and we do get another sequel, it's going to be way scaled down.
Which, to me, is no big deal.
Oh, I hope this does well...Feel like it could be a final testing ground for the long-term survival of THQ.
I updated this post with a video expanding on my issues in a direct response to the things you bring up.
