This is going to be the hardest year ever to predict GOTY. So many amazing games on the way, and that's not even including the unannounced ones.
Don't really care to be honest. Cryptic are terrible.
Aye Lylat Wars was an amazing game, can't wait for this remake. :D
3 months? 1st of March is less than 2 months away :P
@Ju
That's my point, thank you. :)
I agree the controls on the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play are good but android games aren't really that good. Unless the thing can play DLC PSP games like PSP GO there's really no point in buying it over other better android or WP7 phones.
Why do people keep calling it playstation phone? It's the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, and doesn't look all that impressive to me. There's a lot better Android phones out there.
I hope the coon rapes you MintBerryCrunch.
Aye great article. I agree wholeheartedly with all those predictions.
In before people bash the site for being owned by Microsoft. ;)
It better still be March in EU.
10 doesn't mean perfect jeez. It's just the highest most websites can rate a game. There wouldn't be a point in having a '10' score if 10 was perfect since no game will ever be perfect.
That's like saying if you get an A+ on an essay it's perfect. It's not perfect, improvements can always be made, it just satisfied all the requirements to get full marks.
If LittleBigPlanet 2 had released at the time of LittleBigPlanet instead of that game, it would have scored higher. Standards change, it's obviously an improvement but not as fresh as the first game. Even if LBP2 is better than the first game, which is obviously is, that doesn't mean it has to score higher, as you score games individually, at the time they're released.
How the hell is that bias? Donkey Kong Country Returns is an amazing game.
IGN rate on a 20 point scale now, rather than a 100 point one. A 9 is 18/20, I fail to see how that's a bad score.
Maybe he's thinking of the Kin, but that was scrapped so it doesn't really make sense for it to be 'failing hard' hehe. The Kin was a piece of shit though.
Agreed on the iphone point as well. Their OS is just a grid of apps....the only thing it's going for it is the massive app dev support. Without that, their OS is nothing.
Android and WP7 are far superior.
Microsoft don't have a 'phone'. They have a mobile OS, WIndows Phone 7, and it's not failing hard. It's doing quite well considering how long it's been on the market. It's already miles ahead of iOS (not in sales, I mean the OS quality itself) and in my opinion, on par with Android. It's got the best UI of the lot and the only thing holding it back is lack of some features and a smaller app catalogue, things which will come in time.
I'll be picking this up regardless of reviews. Loved the first one. It's my favourite PS3 game apart from Heavy Rain.
Still curious to see how IGN rates it tomorrow. It'll cause a shit storm here on N4G anyway. Too low and the xbox fanboys come out of hiding to slander the game just as they did with GT5, too high and the fanatical PS3 zealots fly planes with 'XBOX HAS NO GAMES, LITTLEBIGPLANET RULES' written on the side, into the homes of xbox owners.
The only games that have blown me away this gen : 'Uncharted 2', 'Mass Effect' (especially the first one, the second one is great as well but the feeling playing the first one was amazing, it was truly a fresh experience for me), 'LittleBigPlanet', 'Limbo', 'Assassins Creed 2'(Brotherhood was fine but nowhere near as innovative as number 2, it just expanded on what made AC2 great), 'Alan Wake'(I know a lot of people don't like it but I playe...
Agree completely. I love the playstation brand and the great games available for the PS3 but the sony fanboys are the worst in existence. They remind me of religious zealots.
