i'm not sure this is going to raise the PS3's profile or anticipation, but its a nice idea.
um, lets not get too excited here. this is based on a survey. when they actually sell 9 million, then we can say the PS3 is vicorious.
Though over 5 million 360's have been sold. Thats a fact.
I sense by the end of 2007 it will be clear through games, sales and online support who is the winner in the generation. isn't it the first to 10 million?
I think this christmas would be more relevant, but the shortages will make it not fair in sales terms.

to be honest surveys have come out saying and supporting and questioning the sales of ALL the next gen consoles at one point. really no one knows how people will actually buy untill the units are in the store on shelves. we can survey, we can speculate, but until people vote with their wallets this all means nothing.

i think sony's disregard for the importance of online play is a good indicator of their attitude towards gamers. Sony really dont care about your gaming experiance, they care about making you buy blu-ray and making you spend $600. xfire/gamespy/hub will be a mess, remember how the PS2's 'online support' was? Well, welcome to the next gen. It's the same.
i feel this will shift once lost odessey and blue dragon are launched. TGS was the main japanese debut for PS3 and wii games, so this survey is going to be a little warped.
personally i think the wii will take japan by storm. its small and weird!
