@maxor
Yeah. It will.
The announcement trailer clearly states "exclusive content until at least fall 2018".
Destiny was perfectly fine at 30fps. Destiny 2 will be as well.
OMG I completely forgot about the hours and hours of fun I had with that game until now.
Thanks for bringing back memories.
@maxor
You might be new to Destiny - but the extra content is long term. Not a month or two long. Destiny extra content goes from core game to 1st expansion, then new extra content from from expansion to 2nd, etc...
Everyone on video game websites has 8k capable machines pushing 200+ fps. Didn't you know that?
He still goes after timed exclusives. He just doesn't have the freedom to get whatever he wants because Sony has a massive lead. To get exclusive stuff you have to pay what the publisher thinks they'll lose by not releasing everything at once.
When you have a platform that doubles the sales of another it's easier for that platform to get any exclusive content they want for less money than their competitor.
Great combat. Kind of bland and repetitive environments. The last area could use some polishing in terms of balance and the pointless maze-like layout.
But if you like From Software's games, and you enjoyed Lords of the Fallen, you'll like this game.
Destiny 2 on PS4 has more content. In a game where people are always content starved, I'll take the platform with the most to do.
All consoles includes the scorpio machine. They aren't specifically talking about that platform, but they lump summed the entire collection of consoles when they said "all consoles".
With the truck loads of money Bungie/Activision made on Destiny - dedicated servers should have been top of the list.
Doesn't have problems until you get into hyper competitive players that exploit latency issues with p2p connections
Steam is great, but there's nothing wrong with battle.net
It's perfectly fine. Light weight, keeps everything up to date, quick downloads, allows you to play while the game finishes downloading, friends list across all Blizzard games, etc...
The most popular FPS in the industry is exclusive to battle.net - Overwatch
The most popular RTS in the industry is exclusive to battle.net - Star Craft 2
The most popular MMO in the industry is exclusive to battle.net - World of Warcraft
The most popular digital card game in the industry is exclusive to battle.net - Hearthstone
One of the most popular MOBA's in the industry is exclusive to battle.net - Heroes of the Storm
Looks like ...
Cross play with pc would spell doom. Keyboard and mouse would shred controllers.
That's not a good gameplay mechanic. Just go farm an inventory full of the weapon you like because it's going to break and go away? It creates a pointless inventory micromanagement mechanic in an otherwise amazing game.
On PC it's real. It's done nothing on xbox because you already code to the metal on consoles.
That's what intelligent people have been saying all along. That's also what Phil meant when he said not to expect gains on xbox.
Witcher 3 was amazing and so close to perfection that it's a moot point between 9.9/10 or 10/10
After releasing one of the most popular games of the generation - yeah they can be confident.
It's Bungie imposing parity upon themselves. They did the same for Destiny 1. They toned down the graphics to get both consoles to 1080p/30fps, instead of 1080p/30 on PS4 and 900p/30fps on xbone.
