You can't spot shit regarding difference between 1440p and 4k, let alone checkerboard rendering at 1440p - from even 5 feet away.
It's proof that resolutions that high aren't distinguishable to the naked eye. Checker board rendering is proof that DF has to zoom in at 300% sometimes to even begin to see the difference between 1440p and 4k.

I wouldn't think it's obvious. This series hasn't had 100% western release. And companies make stupid moves all the time...
Netflix does some good stuff though. There's still a great opportunity here.

It's a console not a PC. The target audience for those machines do any care about resolutions or graphical settings. Sony doesn't need to do anything. The pro is for people with displays above 1080p. That's it. It's still a console at the end of the day.
The difference is MS does this E3 hype all the time and continues to disappoint in the long term.
