Hasn't PGR always been arcade-ish?
This isn't a trailer. It's a video made by somebody playing the game. It released in Germany in May.
ArmA 2 is amazing.
From a gameplay perspective, it doesn't seem very realistic. One scene showed a soldier get shot two or three times and he just ran roadie-run style into cover. If they emphasized the tension of being in war by making you become incapped after taking two shots to the chest then I think they would be able to get their message across better.
Consoles have Bad Company.
PC should get to have BF3.
Lots of games get discounts soon after launch. Don't know why, but they do. The Orange Box was being sold for $30 at Fry's a couple weeks after launch and that game sold loads when it came out.
Eh? This was being played on the PC. They were clearly playing with keyboards and mouses.
Though, yes, the superior version is the PC, obviously.
I don't see the resemblance other than the word 'bit'.
I actually think it's really fun. It's a nice change of pace from blowing up dudes in shooters and RTS's.
Most sequels tend to play like their predecessors.
Valve takes half a decade on a game, people complain. Valve takes one year on a game, people complain. It's really hard to please people.
First picture reminds me of the Star Trek movie.
I know, but the OP said that it's hard finding an N64 to play the game on.
You could always play Perfect Dark in an emulator.
It's pretty cool playing old games at HD resolutions.
$99 is the price with a contract.
The bare minimum price per month is like $70, which equals $840 a year.
The Sims 3 is actually pretty complex. It can be casual, but can also be hardcore.
The Source engine is very modular.
The Source engine used in Half-Life 2, released in 2004, is very different than the engine used in Episode Two, released in 2007, but you can load a Half-Life 2 map into Episode Two and it'll pretty much work. You'll get dynamic shadows and the new lighting engine, too, though obviously you won't get HDR since that's baked into the textures.
DX11 is not DX10.
I was really impressed by Supreme Commander 2. It looks like they fixed a lot of what was wrong with the first game.
They're kind of low, actually. The 7900 GTX was released in 2006.
