No, that's a placeholder date. Unless Nintendo was REALLY stupid. August 29th would be the end of Summer break for kids in most places where Smash sells. Nintendo wants it to be there for at least a month in the summer to let children's word of mouth spread and get the game more sales before fall is upon us.
Nope, that's a place holder date. Games that release in August do so at the beginning of the month.
Yeah, Valve should just drop Counter-Strike: Source servers. After all, that game is a decade old. Everyone who plays it, including those who take it all the way to MLG. Are just being awkward for the sake of it. And need to grow up.

"...Smash bros - are just not worthy of getting too excited over..."
If it's not "worthy" of getting excited over, then explain why Smash Bros Melee is going to be at MLG Anaheim.
Explain why Nintendo's big announcement about their E3 event was a ton of stuff about Smash Bros U.
Explain to me why the total viewership of the Smash Bros Direct worldwide was over one million viewers.
"You need to focus on the big...
No, people weren't too fond of NSMB2
Because then they'd need to create over 700 more models for little chibi pokemon.
Everyone except those that got the downloadable Torchic.
Yeah but it was also 2003. More than a decade is considered nostalgic for most.
Wii U can use 25GB and dual-layered 50GB disks. No game has breached 10GB yet. Wouldn't worry about disc switching.
It really does. The "Wii would like to play" ad campaign with the Wii without a doubt sold consoles and Nintendo should stick to the vibe those commercials gave off with how these are great games to play with family and friends.
Not really derivative so much as it won't sell without a frame of reference. Consumer's today aren't very willing to just jump into an experience without a frame of reference. Because they feel more secure spending money on it if they're told it will be like another thing that they spent money on and didn't end up regretting later.
It's a kickstarter game. So if it gets funded we could request a Wii U stretch goal.
The article title. But not the video itself.
This game takes place on an island. As someone who lives on a continent I am very offended and Nintendo should patch continents in.
This is Nintendo. I've never seen them say something before release that didn't make into the final product.
lmaooooooo
Ten bucks says it'll still have texture pop-in for more than half the games it produces.
Seriously, the majority of consumers are at 1080p. So no one cares what it looks like at 8K when consumers have trouble getting the finances for 1440p gaming.
It's Euclideon all over again.
Hey, remember how the 7th gen consoles had HD but never achieved native 1080p for the whole generation? Nintendo may be slow to catch up. But when they catch up. They perform better than the competition.
