RPG's can work on both, hotkeys to switch between stuff, makes a keyboard (or razer naga) a god send.
But games like demon souls (or dark souls) Kingdom Hearts and such, controller are better IMO

But TLoU was more an experience for me. And it stuck with me way more than GTA did. The story grabbed me, i loved the change of face we're usually used to and i just more in the game (i gues that's what you call it) than gta V
It's all opinion though. One will like GTA V more than TLoU, or think Bioshock infinite is GOTY, ...
