Great achievement by Sony! If the gap between the PS4 and X1 is only a couple of hunderd thousand then it's very good to see both consoles are doing well in the US but obviously the nod to Sony here, anyone with a brain can see that Sony launched a really good product with the PS4 that it's taken Xbox's main territory so far this gen
September NPD was worse for both consoles than what they managed in September 2014 but that's the thing about momentum, it always starts to slow down but PS4 and Xbox One sales weren't 'bad' in any respect. I heard (not 100% sure on the validity) that the numbers were around 300k for PS4 and 276k for X1. Both are still selling well but price drops should boost Holiday sales and is good for consumers
Gotta admit it wasn't as good as the rest but Halo 4 was 343's first crack at Halo. Halo 5 looks like they've made a lot of improvements and all I can say is that the King of FPS is back!
Picked up The Swapper for £3 because it's a steal at that price but apart from that, not a big fan of the other offerings. Never liked Saints Row since it got into the way over-the-top shit it is now
Why don't you wait for it to release before jumping to conclusions? The 'Xbox demographic' is millions and millions of gamers and I'd bet many are excited to pick this game up next month. I agree it's in a competitive month but that doesn't mean it's not going to sell well
Cannot wait to get this next month!
These things just take time, just like last gen. Games will start to look and perform better but the problem is that DICE have done BF4. Battlefront and are working on the next BF5 so they have no time to optimize their engine. I fully believe a multiplayer only game should be performing better on both PS4 and X1 but Battlefront feels like a rushed job. Yes, ESram makes development that bit more complicated but from what I've seen Microsoft is doing good work on their API's with the r...
Really unprofessional from this guy, not saying that what's he's saying isn't true because we all know PS4 has a power advantage over the X1's hardware but the guy was acting very unprofessional. Deleted his tweets where he called the X1 'Xbone Xbone Xbone' and the PS4 the 'Pony console' so clearly knew he was in the wrong.
Just can't help but feel as a 'holiday 2015' trailer it looks very bare with 1 game shown which is a multiplat but that aside it is a very cool trailer
Epic I agree but I am left confused. Is there going to be another holiday trailer with exclusives like Uncharted or is SW:BF (a multiplat)the only game they're advertising this holiday?
That would be the ideal scenario in gaming but unfortunately the big companies don't see it that way
Microsoft is partnering up with Blizzard for Blizzcon so console ver seems likely, imagine XB1 & Win10 vers will have cross play
Glad to hear Cortana will work with headsets now, I'm sure that'll make a lot of XB1 gamers without kinect happy
Not to mention free dlc, doesn't seem like a move a business would make, obviously they approved it but I imagine that was a move by 343
1. It's not a country of 'billions' of people. It has a population of around 1.4 billion and obviously, it's a fairly small percentage of people that actually play video games
2. Neither PS4 or Xbox One are selling 'well' in China. Chinese gamers primarily play on PC or mobile because they're more into the freemium model over there.
Bluepoint have done a fine job remastering all 3 games
Halo 5 is going to be MASSIVE loving the marketing they've been doing for this game, best FPS to hit consoles in years
Dice has pumped out 3 big games already so it's no wonder they haven't had the time/resources to optimize their engine but I hope they do soon.
Hearing good things but like all new tech, will wait for it to be released to the public before making definitive judgements
Did you think this one over? I'm confused as to how you find it "bizarre" as you put it because the answer is really quite simple. People spend a lot more in the holiday season than any other time of they year and therefore companies like Microsoft or Sony or 3rd party publishers can expect more sales if they release in the holiday season.
Also, "first-party exclusives don't necessarily move hardware more than third-party games." maybe not but I...
