Lots of life left in the ps3. Even if new consoles dropped tomorrow i see it getting support for 5 more years. Over time its install base will grow and smaller developers and alot of japanese developers cant afford a big game on new hardware so they will release new games for it. Rage for sure. Uncharted looks great but rage looks better imo plus un3 is linear with no destruction, vehicles, anything. Rage has a huge open world with vehicles and runs at 60fps. Bf3 on pc looks lifelike, its crazy. Even on console its great and everything is destructible which is insane. Gears is amazing and i think it will suprise people but i dont think it can take rage. We wont know until then though. All games are beautiful and all are contenders for goty.
I agree with you. I just didnt get hooked into twighlight princess like oot or mario galaxy like mario 64. Its not that the games arnt better, they are. Its that im older and my tastes changed. You must have played the ps3 version of crysis 2. 360 version looked amazing and i encountered no bugs. Resistance has always been an ugly game with a good art style and generic gameplay. Its fun because its the one game on ps3 with co-op. Bf3 will be epic on whatever platform is available. Id imagine it looks, runs, and plays beter on 360 like every other fps. They wont advertise the 360 version because sony paid.

They needed to add in mgs twin snakes. Mgs is still great but on a 46 in hdtv its pretty unbearable, on psp its okay. Twin snakes looked as good/better than mgs2. Also should add portable ops, i loved that game.

Just buy a used wii for 100 or less, softmod it, buy europe version=play xenoblade. I need to order it pronto, looks like a better ff12 and its from the makers of xenogears and xenosaga two of the best jrpgs/series ever.

I just went back and finished resistance 2 and cod mw. Still need to finish magna carta 2, tales of vesperia, dragon age, divinity 2, white knight, and blue dragon. As you can see i play alot of rpgs. I think im on the last dungean of all except divinity 2 and dragon age but im still 30hrs into those. I usually get near the end of rpgs and stop because i go off to finish side quests before i beat it, get sidetracked with a new game, forget about it for a while.
It was an epic fight but mgs4 kinda let me down. I hated the ending, they tried to make bad guys good guys and it just wasnt as great as expected. It kind of ruined past series plot lines and they tried to finish off too any plot lines too quickly. Revisiting shadow moses was awesome though and SPOILERS.....when you had to crawl through those microwaves it was one of the best moments in gaming. Still an epic game.

I dont find him annoying at all, maybe these dumb articles twisting something he said but not him. I watched a 45 min interview of him and it felt like 5 minutes because he's so knowledgable and passionate about everything. The guy interviewing hi would ask something and get a 10 min answer lol. He kept trying to speed him up but couldnt get a word in because he just talks and talks. Carmack's the shi*. His last gen engines still power some of the top games this gen.
Not worth wasting all the money getting it working with move when it wont work as well and only a few people will use it. Motion controlls suck for all games unless built from the ground up for them.

No if you can go to a store to buy a disk game you could bring your hdd in to let best buy run it in for you in like 5 minutes. DD for people without internet^^^. I say dvd is fine for this gen and fine for next gen IF its used like a pc, ran off a harddrive not the dvd so you can fit 20gb on a disk and run it into your console.
That is crazy when you think about it, 512mb of ram. Could anyone here run skyrim, bf3, or witcher 2 on 512mb of ram? HELL NO! Pc's are so more powerful than a console but a console can run on 6yr old tech with virtually no ram. Consoles are so well optimised compared to pc's. Imo pc gaming is about throwing enough power at it to get her done, consloes are about making it run efficently. 2 totally different worlds. Bring on torchlight 2 guys!

Its practacally impossible to add something like a second analoug stick when not all models have it. I guess they could use the touchscreen for people without the new model but people wuld be pissed. Thats the one thing that the 3ds needs. Idk why they wouldnt add a second one before launch?
Yea i dont have enough room on my old 20gb but the 360 can use thumbdrives which are cheap so not a problem. I have like 3 or 4 lying around. I might not install it anyways.

I have both and will get it for 360. Theyre the same, i bet you couldnt tell which version is which unless someone told you. Unless its a bayonetta type situation theyre equal.

No sloppy seconds on 360 lol. I think the reason for this is most games want to be on all systems so its either lauch on all or go to xbl first like braid, limbo, and other xbl games. Its gets xbl exposure with big titles and prevents them from doing the same thing on psn (bringin psn hype with new games). Its a good policy but it does stop lots of arcade games from going to xbl.
