Gears 3 is a HUGE leap forward for the franchise. The campaign looks better, plays better, has a good story that makes me care about the characters, and has very memorable set pieces and bosses. Its quite possibly the best shooter campaign imo.

You might like to run and gun and others go slow and strategic. The only reason campers can rack up kills is people are dumb. I was in a bunker in cod and the whole other team just keeps running through the door right in front of me so i kept shooting them. I got like 9-10 kills in a row. There were 2 other doors they couldve come through behind me and killed me but no they kept coming so i killed them. I dont camp i like to move around but you have to stop here and there. Probably the gears 3 update. If you havnt taken the new update it reflashes your drive to OFW and notifies ms for a ban if its modded. Same with dead island and also glitchers from cod. Id guess 99 percent of bans are legitimate, that one percent sucks though. Occasionally honest people get wronged but its usually for tampering with the 360 somehow. Always check a 360 if you buy it used because i see people selling them without telling people its banned.
I dont remember metal gear having health regen it used rations. I also never really used a cover system in it until mgs4, before that all i remember doing is sticking to walls, maybe leaning out to shoot i cant really remember. Gears wasnt the first tps or cover shooter but it made it popular. Uncharted is really different, more similar to tomb raider.
I cant drink alchahol when i game i like to concentrate and focus. I prefer to drink mosters, gets me pumped for a long ass gaming session. Nothing better imo.
Yea this game is def one of the best shooters ive played. Everything is improved, it has a more sci-fi feel to it than before and the story is actually great. Gears is a great game hell it made sakaguchi a fan of shooters and influinced the last story. Japan would love gears 3 it just doesnt get marketed there. People dont know what it is and the 360 is in a coma over there.

Its already started. I think it will work best if done like demons souls, journey, and dead island. Blend multiplayer with the singleplayer but only set numbers more like co-op than an mmo.
It cant be mandatory on consoles because not everyone has internet and not everyone wants to play with others.
I agree with you and i think its the same with the 360. All its big games hit 2010 with halo and gears 3 going into 2011 to fill the gap. Other than that its multiplats and kinect. Now the ps3 is dropping all its heavy hitters with vs13 and the last guardian going into 2012. Both are awesome but gears 3 is the complete package that will be played for years.

Homefront was awesome. My only gripe was it was too short and the ending sucked major a**. The campaign was great overall and multiplayer was possibly my favorite fps. It had the controls of cod and the bigger maps and higher playercount of battlefield. The battlepoints system is far better than killstreaks imo. Il get homefront 2 day 1.
Yea Lost Odyssey was a masterpiece in my eyes, better than ffx (my fav ff). I really enjoyed Tales of Vesperia, Magna Carta 2, and Resononace of Fate also. All were exceptional jrpgs and a must if you like the genre. I love ghibli films and level 5 are a super talented bunch, a match made in heaven. This is looking to be a once in a generation game. Once ff13-2, vs13, this, and the new tales game drops il be in jrpg heaven.
A few things that i want that mw3 has are splitscreen co-op, splitscreen multiplayer online, and splitscreen survival mode. I will always prefer gaming with a friend on the couch above online. Bf3 looks really sick though, cant wait to get my hands on it.
Yea i was super pumped to play R3 but had to download an update for 15 min, 10 to install it, then i had to download a patch for 15 min, 10 to install that, then i had to install the game lol. It was prob 45 minutes easy before i could play. I want to put the game in and play. I think sony learned alot from the ps3 and it shows with the vita.
To be fair when insomniac changed the co-op to the 8 player sections everyone threw a fit and wanted campaign co-op back. They were listening to fans. I like campaign co-op because i usually play with my girl but il admit r2 was amazing in co-op. The multi does seem cod/halo generic. Big battles were what made resistance stand apart from the pack. Yea in mw2 spec ops theres the mission in a town where the enemies are mixed in with civilians and you get like 5 civilian deaths before you lose. It adds alot to the map because you cant rambo everyone you have to stop and make sure theyre enemies. Some look like civilians but then they shoot you, its realistic and wouldnt be as good without that element. All military shooters should have civilians if its in a city.
