Of course it will help. Once Sony drop the price for PS3 (whenever they choose to), sales will skyrocket. What a stupid article.
Also, the only reason it didn't help before was because the PS3 was still by far the most expensive console out of the three. If you cut it from $600 to $500, that's still more than most people can afford right now, what with the bad economy and all. But if you cut it from $400 to $350, it's far more affordable for the average person.
The 360 controller might be better for other games, but it's absolute hell trying to use it for fighting games. I haven't played BlazBlue yet, but I did play both versions of Street Fighter IV, and I couldn't stand using the 360 controller for it.
There are other factors, of course (and they're listed in the article), but I think it's mostly the controller.

The open world was so disappointing. Collision detection bugs, texture pop-up, and my Wii was always really loud whenever I was in it (like it was struggling to run it). It was also rather boring. Good to hear that Suda plans on fixing that. =D

ANYWAY, the difference between the PS3 and 360, from what I can tell, is solely graphical. Gameplay-wise, they seem to be completely identical, and the PS3 version runs fine.
So go ahead, enjoy your higher resolution. I'll be busy playing the PS3 version of "Ghostbusters" instead of "Count the Pixels". ;)
He didn't give the win to the PC version because it doesn't have any multiplayer. Graphics aren't everything, you know.
Grand Theft Auto IV used it quite well.
