Well, would you rather be playing against 7 other people or 47 other people (or in this case, 255 other people)? I never said that amount of players is everything, but 256 players is a major achievement for a non-MMO game.

It's a logical assumption. EA is Bioware's publisher. Microsoft do not own the IP anymore. Bioware are "pumped" to work on the PS3, and EA ALWAYS go for the more profitable decision (read: Multiplats). The confimation of Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3 is practically inevitable.
But you're right about one thing, I really do want Mass Effect. ;o
