Those aren't always so bad. Hell, Heavy Rain was literally made of QTEs and it was pretty good.
Now, if the QTEs are combined with unresponsive, buggy controls...
And Mass Effect.
Die at the Krogan Battlemaster fight? Have fun watching a 5-minute unskippable cutscene again.
I guess it's time to go download some patches then. ;o
I haven't played this game in quite awhile (around 1.04) and I was thinking of playing it again. Just how much has the game changed since then?
In the olden days, games were actually tested before release BECAUSE they couldn't be patched.
And now I'm imagining Kotick having a psychotic breakdown, running around in circles badmouthing Activision while yelling at himself and laughing/screaming like the Splicers from Bioshock.
...And I'm laughing my ass off.
Right, "sarcasm"...
"(except for DJ Hero)"
...
"I hope this blows up in his face."
It won't. :/
1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 for me.
...Well damn.
Cross Edge still looks a lot better than Disgaea 3, though.
Probably about 7-8 months after the Japan release. That's about how long it took for Disgaea 3, Cross Edge and Trinity Universe
Prime Trilogy was published in very limited quantities, though. And Nintendo stopped publishing it just a few months after it released (It costs like $70 now).
Don't try to melee the guy with the giant Beam Sword. Seriously, some people do that.
...DKC Returns is coming out this year? Awesome. :D
Let's see. What did Adam accomplish over the 9 hours it took me to beat the game (Warning: Spoilers)?
- Forced Samus to use only her weakest weapons (bad plot device, losing all your stuff was actually better)
- Nearly got Samus killed ANY time she needed one of her other beams
- Nearly got Anthony killed because he actually waits for Samus to find the grapple point before he authrizes it (Anthony probably did die when you first got to that part, on mine h...
It wasn't a bad game by itself, but by Metroid standards it was pretty bad.
EVERY SINGLE first-person sequence was horrible. The lock-on for the missiles is awful. If I'm fighting three enemies, and I incapacitate two, run up to them, go into first person mode and lock on, half the time it'll spin me around and lock onto the one wrong enemy. It's ridiculous. And the forced scanning parts were just as bad (Green blood on Green Grass? REALLY?), although those go...
Every time one of your power-ups gets activated
- Go into room
- Can't hit enemy
- Enemy kicks your ass
- Energy gets down to like 30 (or in some cases already at Game Over
- "SAMUS USE YOUR WEAPON NOW AFTER YOU NEARLY DIE"
Every. Single. Time.
1. Adam
2. Forced-scanning
3. Forced over-the-shoulder slowness
4. Adam
5. Adam
You got Red Ring and Yellow Light At the same time?
Might want to reconsider your setup if they both overheated.
