Normally I'd agree, but I got the sense from the game that I would never really "click" with it. I'm not knocking the game, simply saying that I won't be picking this up.
Played about 30 min of FF XI on PC, couldn't figure out how to do anything, and gave up. Haven't gone back since, and likely won't for this.
I personally am loving the strides this tri-console competition is encouraging, and continue to look forward to the great experiences we'll receive from it.
Loved the first one, am much more psyched for this one than I was maybe a month ago.
Am I the only person that was seriously unable to breath when, in Dead Space, Twinkle Twinle Little Star starts playing in the nursery?
I def agree on Zac and Clouds respective moments. Both absolute breakthroughs.
Says the person with Chris Farley as their avatar. :D
Never played it before. Wish I could get into it now, but BlazBlue owns my life at the moment, so I probably won't try it for a month or so still.
This game reminded me a lot of Final Fantasy for a long time, for some strange reason. Guess I wasn't completely off base on that one! Lol.
Not really my scene, although I loved the One Winged Angel Remix for Advent Children.
Halo 2 - Ghosts of Reach
One of the most inspired pieces of game music I've ever heard. The entire Halo 2 soundtrack is beautiful.
What...the...hell
Agree with a bunch, but I think the original Fable needed to be in that top ten. FF 12 didn't exactly suck that hard. No more than most money grabbing ploys nowadays ;)
Excellent excellent excellent. Really loved it.
I don't know, I see those as kind of "cheap scare" moments than things that really changed how you saw the game from then on. It's why the monster closet stuff in Dead Space shouldn't be included. It freaked me out, but it gradually became tiresome.
I can see motion controls having a huge impact on the genre. Good article for the most part.
Anyway, as for an intelligent response, I have to say that Shadow was one of the most innovative titles I played on PS2. Sure, it's not what you would typically call #1, but I can't find much fault with it.
Open Zone is thata way pal. ----->
The Wii version suffers some obvious technical deficiencies, but at the same time, you can really tell they worked on it from the ground up. Solid title.
AA is a huge step up for this developer from that riot control game, and so for that they should be commended. It's certainly quality, but I wouldn't go around emptying my pockets for it. There's still ODST, Uncharted, Brutal Legend, MW2 and Layton to think about. Though I already got Layton for review, so on that front I'm set. Still a ton of cash for the others though, not to mention the ridiculous Q1 of 2010. God, I'm going to be poor forever.
