I'm feenin for this damn patch to come out. Host migration is so sorely needed along with the quick mute option. There needs to be a vote to kick feature put in somewhere down the line as well.
Dude IGN names all of their system specific podcasts with something relative to each system. For Instance there is the Podcast Beyond (PS3), Wii-k In Review (Wii duh), and 3RLights (don't act like the hardware problems just magically disappeared).
Thank God for the host migration. I hate that host ended game nonsense, especially when my squad is winning because it'll still count as a loss in the barracks. The mute option is long overdue as well.

Sure with GDC around the corner it would make all the sense in the world to just give us what we want but I feel that it may wind up being a disappointment if we all get our hopes up to high. Remember the FW2.00 fiasco last summer around the time of E3? Yeah we don't a repeat of that now do we?

I'd actually prefer that they held this game off to 09 and make sure it's perfect instead of rushing it for a 08 release window. Hell I already have too many games to play this year.
This is just terrible for the entire sports gaming population. EA failed to innovate with the recent Madden releases and with this news i'm sure that they will continue this trend. This is complete BS.

The digital switch will leave consumers with two options. Either get a HDTV or get a digital converter for their analog set (which may still cost 100-200 dollars).
If they do have full publishing rights for Mass Effect and see that there is money to be made by releasing a PS3 version then trust me, Mass Effect 2 will be MASSIVELY multiplatform meaning a PC, 360, PS3 release.
Of course all companies are doing the R&D on their next consoles but the thing with MS is that, going back to their betrayal of the original Xbox owners, MS doesn't have a damn clue what they're doing in the videogame world. Apparently they didn't learn from the mistakes that Sega made in the 90's by releasing so many systems in such a close proximity to each others releases. This is where Sony and even Nintendo has succeded. They SUPPORT their formats for many years so that the gamer ...
The sooner that this is COMPLETELY over the better for consumers. Less confusion at retail = a quicker adoption rate for HDTV's and blu-ray leading up to the switch to digital in early 09. This is why the hollywood studios are trying to wrap this up despite MS trying to drag it out.

Exactly. People are gonna have to go HD anyways with the switch to digital in early 09 and they're gonna want a nice HD movie player to go along with their HDTV investment. I see the PS3 really being praised in the coming months by the media because it can be a games console for the kids and a movie player for the parents. Easy and effective selling point.
I'll be preordering the spec. edition shortly. April 29th just can't get here fast enough.
All I need now are the BR versions of Transformers, Hot Fuzz, and The Bourne Supremacy.
