That was a very poorly written article and the writer seemed uninformed on many of the things he mentioned.
Nothing about this game is better than Cod4. The fact that treyarch took the lazy route by just basing the game off the COD4 IW engine is what really irks me. All the doubters of how good IW is compared to Treyarch will be humbled when IW builds a new engine for their COD game(if it's still a COD) in 09.
Some have already gotten 10's or high 9's (LBP, Dead Space, and Fable) from the early reviews.
So a fall line up of Fallout 3, LBP, Dead Space, Gears 2, Fable 2, Socom, Wipeout HD, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Mirror's Edge, Quantom of Solace, and Far Cry 2 is just solid? I'm convinced that alot of these clowns that said 07 was so great are full of it. Almost every game I just listed is of Double or Triple-A quality.
So this is what happens when a game that's lead dev'd on PS3 gets reviewed in OXM...what did they give Burnout?
If you honestly think that games like God Of War 3, Uncharted 2, GT5 (which is one of the top selling series of all-time), or a next gen Twisted Metal will flop then you've earned the title of either a fanboy or a dumbass -_-. I'm leaning towards both.

Gears Of War 2 and Fable 2 equal a stronger lineup? Gtfoh with that nonsense. Even the most hardcore of Sony detractors will tell you that Little Big Planet, Socom, and Resistance 2 dwarf the competition this holiday as far as exclusives go, not counting downloadable titles.

From what i've heard and read Boom Blox is actually a pretty fresh game but, like most quality Wii titles, it didn't sale. Too much of that morning show friendly bs (Wii fit , Wii play, ahh screw it anything that has to have Wii in it's title) flooding that system which holds back the good titles from shining. It's a shame to because if the system had more stuff on the level of Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. then i'd probably try and pick one up to be a companion system to my PS3.
Seriously though. Total lack of maturity. Trash talking IS where the line should be drawn. We all now trash talking is normal from sports competition down to video games but like I said earlier, alot of the racially insensitive and homophobe s**t that's said by these kids hiding behind a username miles away online could get them killed in real life.
That's what alot of it boils down to. Sure a parent may say that they're child is "mature" enough to handle a M rated game but then their child is the first one throwing around racist slurs that they don't know the weight of showing their true level of maturity.
To go along with that, there are still alot of adult gamers who also throw around racist and homophobe slurs as well. Sometimes you hear it from them more than you hear it from the kids whihc is just shameful.
I agree wholeheartedly. First of all most of the people using these slurs, like Sessler said, are not much older than 10-15. They shouldn't be playing most of these games in the first place due to the M ratings and most of the outlandish s**t they say over their headsets (XBL or PSN no difference) they wouldn't dare say in public or especially in any inner city environments. If the little kids I hear throwing around all the N words or discriminatory words towards Hispanics on Call Of Duty ...
Alright fine i'll switch it up a little bit. Saint's Row was the first next-gen sandbox game which led to sales from people who wanted an open-world sandbox style game on their next-gen system. As for the rest, Saint's Row 2 will flop. You really think people are gonna by that over Fallout 3, Resistance 2, Gears 2, Bioshock (PS3), LBP, or RE5 if it hits this year?
I'm gonna go ahead and ignore the rest of that wall of poor grammar in your post and respond to the first sentence. The Wii and PS2 comparison should go out the window. With the PS2 we all saw high system sales as well as strong sales for QUALITY games not games that come packaged with a damn controller.
Definitely gonna jump on Quantum of Solace. Maybe even Blitz: The league as well.
