The author clear doesn’t understand the essence of what made the dlc so good… it wasn’t zombies and it definitely wasn’t a dedicated IP to zombies.
It was the sheer ambience and un seen mixing of a game with elements that were non existent in said game’s theme. It was a perfect fantasy mash up that changed the game in unbelievably awesome ways.

You do realize this is the same concept as renting versus buying everything.. like a home or a car or a phone. Just a different scale with different value. Personally, the not owning your crap model has always proven to be a terrible deal for consumers who usually don't realize it until they don't have other options. It's also flat out terrible for content producers (proved again and again by other services evolving).

100^ this. It was definitely around their overall strategy which needed a hard rethinking. There were also poor hardware choice issues tbh.
The guy absolutely doesn’t deserve death threats, that’s just stupid. He does deserve a large amount of criticism on his work.
I would take a hard look at the reviewers history and put together that’s there no actual credibility in this review.
