I can’t recall the last year Nintendo had a huge win for gamers. Anytime they release an exclusive it’s a great year for them..

RT is absolutely not a gimmick lol. Currently computers minus the 40 RTX series have the same issues. RT is demanding

What's objective when you note "outperform"? That hasn't been the case... Almost every DF breakdown goes against that exact statement from a technology perspective and recently has been in favor of the PS5's performance. Even PC ports have been lagging behind.

Over 20 studios have been working on games for years with no artifacts to show. This isn't unique and dates back to Microsoft's acquisition of Rare. Staying objective and keeping things i...

Ignoring non-first party games as well: NFS Unbound, Callisto, RE8-DLC, Stray.. and these are all recent ignoring things like Elden Ring and more. I've literally had 1-2 games a month on release and frankly have a hard time keeping up right now. Dead Space Remake, Forespoken, Hogwarts Legacy, FF Crisis Core Remake are literally in the next 1-2 months of releases...

I have all the systems and a high spec’ed PC. Sounds like you may not get around though. It’s good to base judgment away from bias.

@Eonjay you are spot on. Not sure why people attack UE for this, but there was an API change in Direct X that delegated optimizations in this area to the API consumers. It used to do the optimizations internally.

It was actually quite a joke/troll comment above (fanboys are serious comical 👀). I have a 3090 Ti rig with an i9 and Asus ProArt motherboard. My gaming PC is happily sitting in my server rack. I also highly disagree with every note in your comment and calling me ignorant is quite hypocritical dont you think? Actually, it does have to do with the OS and nothing to do with UE. It tied into a few deprecated API for direct X, but hey… I hear you’re a dev too right ‽ UE does need to add o...

Ever since Windows 11, Im consistently seeing articles on stutter due to direct x shader compilation and other things. Weren’t PC gamers always bragging about having the best experience?

The original dead space is fine. This is completely different really.

I’ve been playing it for the past few days and understand the criticism against the combat. The combat isn’t hard, but it is flawed which makes it almost unfair at times (which could be “hard”). It’s less of a challenge and more of an enjoyment up until complex situations arise. Then almost every bug/glitch or poorly thought out thing comes out. The combat is unlike any game I’ve played to date, so it’s definitely a unique experiment. I just can’t say it’s a good experiment.

I will note the animation is top notch until you hit gameplay. They tried some things with the combat sequences that don’t scale well.
