Why is this game viewed as special? It strictly rode off of Ninja Theories work with Heavenly Sword. Pointing to this game in particular almost ignores the work Ninja Theory was doing up until this point. Especially regarding motion capture and cinematic takes.
For the downvotes, guys, 64 bit, 32 bit and ARM vs non ARM instruction sets are pretty typical issues in the programming world and are for the most part solved....
Kill one was never good <- platinums 2 games and almost 3... this franchise was phenomenal
x86 has nothing to do with the backwards compatibility problem, it has to do with the dev kit and architecture of things like SPU allocation. Same reasons it’s been so difficult to emulate ps3 games on the pc at an acceptable performance.
Same, this is sort of a miracle..
Same reason people would want it on the switch. At least smart phones have better screens and are more portable...
It’s possible there needs to be a counter article to educate this guy 🤦♂️
The Wii and PS3 were still the absolute worst in my memory.
The PS3 was impossible to get for 6 months or so. That, to me, paired with the pricing was the worst console launch in recent memory.
🤦♂️
I don’t believe most PC enthusiasts understand the value of a console or console echo system.... Which is sort of baffling. There’s multiple value points ranging from the console’s OS, services, down to pricing/audience that all make it a far more worthy investment for the majority of the population. Consider the simplicity and OS orientation around using/setting up a console in the living room. Now take that and apply it to a PC...... It’s not really an argument to note that there’s a learni...
Apple has literally been on the cutting edge of performance and tech within the phone industry for a decade. Their the ones who drove the ARM movement, and their A based processors have been outperforming competitors by massive leaps and bounds (hence the M1 chip introduction on their MacBook lineup). You’re comparison is extremely poor because Nintendo... well they don’t actually try to push any boundary other than a few gimmicks.
PS: Killzone and Resistance were beloved ...
“Classic game”... 🤔
The comments in the article do not make any sense driven from the lack of a true user base (or potential user base) backing this game. It's silly to see out of all the success in the industry from actual selling games, this is what drives them back to consider making new games 🤔. Yeah Gabe, we believe you.
They seriously need to realize that the _only_ good multiplayer like idea that they've ever had and will probably ever succeed with in the RE franchise is co-op. It's a bit mind boggling that they're absolutely blind to that fact.
Your downvotes note otherwise. I've gone back to OOT multiple times in most ports and will still say with full confidence that it is hands down one of the best Zelda games out there (and far better than Breath of the Wild). BOTW changed up the Zelda dynamics, but has nowhere near the TLC in detail, discovery or sheer story/adventure as OOT. The lack of dungeons, temples, true puzzles and exploration alone left much to be desired. Shrines in no way substituted for the TLC placed in those a...
“unexpected move from a company that’s built a track record of doing right by gamers.”
I would like to see this track record. Over the past generations they lost heavy studios for the few 1st party games/exclusives they had, disrupted the market with paid demos and timed exclusives, introduced pricing models for network services and tried to use the overall console market as a platform to introduce windows as a media hub into the living room with little care regarding games...
It’s not, stupid people posted it. It doesn’t have very many views.
Flat out painful. This was a waste of effort.
I'm sick of people trying to justify a $10 price hike for games this generation. Especially when I have friends flat out not buying games due to Game Pass....
