It's a message over to just about anybody who enjoys a game. There is so much cynicism in the games industry that sometimes it makes you wonder whether gamers actually enjoy video games. So much hate and criticism makes it sound like they loathe the games they surround themselves with.

Of course they rely on Halo. Why wouldn't they? Reliance on a successful franchise to bolster business is not some moral crime as the author of this article would have you believe.
Even then, Microsoft, while obviously considering Halo important, even makes it seems sometimes like Halo is just another part of their lineup, not the entire showrunner. I'd argue that Microsoft is actually learning to rely on all their other new games, not just Halo.
This would be shots fired if there was even competition. The Vita isn't bad, but it doesn't even hold a candle next to the 3DS, its sales, and its games.
Oracle very clearly states the enemy vehicles were unmanned. That was the entire reason he was "clear to engage."
I'm gonna have to disagree with this slightly. Both Microsoft and Sony did well this year, that's for sure. But I feel as though Microsoft kept up better pacing and had more exciting announcements for players than did Sony. Like I said, Sony also definitely did well, I just feel Microsoft did a little better. The pacing in Sony's conference got knocked with all their talk of TV. Their exposition on the PlayStation Now service was also a bit boring, if at least informative.
As much as I agree with this, I really hope this isn't the end for Nathan Drake :/

Thank you for your enlightened input to this conversation. This post isn't about the remake looking better--of course it's going to look better. Read and you'll see that this post is about whether it looks significantly better such that the additional purchase is justified.
The only real difference between how Games with Gold and PS+ work is that, with PS+, you don't necessarily need to be online to play your downloaded games. Nevertheless, PS+ games are only valid while your subscription is valid, which is basically what Games With Gold is doing here.
And let's be real here: how often are most of us really without internet, anyway? At a functional level, the two are nearly identical.
Not counting on it, but a FFVII remake would probably shock both old and new gamers.

Of all the games to criticize a lack of diversity on...Mario Kart? Really? Thirty years of legacy notwithstanding, this really isn't the right game to play if you're looking for substance, representation, and diversity.

My favorite thing about Nintendo is how willing they are to not care about what the competition is doing and go off with their own things. Nintendo Directs have been working for them, I'm sure this will too.
Not working on my Slim PS3. I hold down the buttons as directed during scanning and it just scans indefinitely. No change in color on the DS4 light either.
