We usually agree, but in this case I can't. The fact is that the PS4 to PS5 jump is more like PC upgrades. They do not release a new version of a game when a new graphics card comes out, they just patch to take advantage of the new hardware. With PS3 to PS4 it was a far different story as the architecture is completely different. They had to rework the code. That is not the issue moving from PS4 to PS5. Did you actually read any of those links?.. I did. They talk about the platform holders granting them certification to allow publication, not certifying the product. All the platform holders are doing is being sure that the game fits within guidelines before allowing the product on their system. It's not like the old days of Nintendo's crooked seal of approval.

So, in your opinion, play testers that are in house are not to be trusted at all, and platform holders are responsible for play testing all content. Should the same apply to other industries? The publisher sent this book to my book store, but I must have someone read it to be sure it's a well written book, or I won't sell it to my customers? Even if they want it? Seems a bit silly.

Exactly. Why are there so many people who are missing this. There well may be enhancements for the PS5, but they are not going to produce a separate PS5 version when the PS4 game is playable on the 5. Do people still not know that the PS5 is backward compatible?
Guys... If you buy the PS4 game, you are buying the PS5 game. PS5 is backward compatible, so I highly doubt there will be a separate PS5 version. I'm sure there will be PS5 enhancements just like we see with the Pro.
I'd rather they take their time and deliver on their vision than rush out an unfinished product then try to finish it via patch as too many developers do these days.
