That's freaking crazy. It would be like watching half a movie then just leaving it never to come back to it again. Attention spans are so short these days.
That's a shame.
That's pathetic.
I fully get what your saying especially about tastes changing. Foods that I loved when I was young I won't even touch now, where I crave things that I didn't like as a kid. My only point about being a busy adult (45 with a wife, kid, older family to take care of, full time job, a small business, and I own a rental property) is that the non story essential things that I used to do in games when I was younger with less responsibilities I no longer feel are worth devoting time to. It too...

Yeah... Could well be.
It's the stuff that doesn't directly relate to the story I normally miss out on. I get so little time to play that I usually skip it even if I think it's fun because I want to get through the story.
Man... I really hope that the trauma and loss they're taking about is not do to Joel's death.
I also hope hope that we will get to play as Joel. I loved the heavy weighty brutal feel of the hand to hand encounters while playing as him.
I can't wait to dive into it. I'm also really looking forward to The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghosts of Tsushima.
I think you misunderstood me. I'm saying I don't mind long games, I'm just saying I don't have time to get into the stuff I would consider filler, like the fishing, hunting, card games, etc... If your like me a don't have a lot of time, simply skip that stuff. You should not be mad at the game for having it. Some people really like doing those things and feel it's worth their time to do it.
The "adulting" thing is bullshit? I'm not arguing the point of game length... Fact is, I'm lucky if I get 4 hours a week to game. I have no problem with a game taking me months to finish, as long as my time is not being wasted with stupid crap because they wanted to extend the games length. I finished Red Dead 2 without doing any of the time wasting camp upgrades. I didn't fish or hunt unless I was made to do so in a story mission. Same with clothes, hair, beard, etc.. ...
I do the same thing. I finish one game before I start another.
I have to come clean too... I've never played one myself. My Sister is a huge fan, and I am buying this game for her for Christmas. I'm just really hoping she'll love it.
He did, oldboy. He made mention of things that should be better today. Stiff character animations. Having to walk around in circles over and over again to upgrade an ability... Things of that nature. I would say, don't let nostalgia cloud your judgment.
Great story. I thought the PS3 was a no brainer as it is backward compatible with the huge library of PS2 and PlayStation, but I understand your decision, and literally laughed out loud at the story. Well done.
I read the review. He says he's a big fan of the first two games and that, despite the issues he has with this one, he's still glad it exists.
Oh WTF?
I can't read for fear of spoilers, but each perfect score makes me more and more excited to finally play this after Christmas. My wife forbids me to buy games after September so that people have something to get me for Christmas. Lol.
