Come on now... Let's be honest. E3 had been crap for years. I haven't even bother to tune in for the last 3. Everything you want to know is on the internet almost immediately. No need to even watch the streams.
Nicely done.
I never played the first one. I just never had time to get to it.
That's crazy.
Yeah... Dreams, The Last of Us: Part 2, and Ghosts of Tsushima all have me really excited.
Lol
Did you not hear that Microsoft is not doing that?
You're delusional.
I can't wait!
Of course. The union wants dues from all those people. I'm in a union. It's not that great.
Based on your logic every game should run on a Commodore 64.
I think we're very close to being on the same exact page. I was reading another article where a developer was taking about running from the hard drive to the memory while moving down a pathway and that because of the increased load times they will be able to add lighting, textures, and so on to the pathways without having to double assets to deal with the mechanical hard drives. That's where the limitation lies. Maybe devs will come up with a work around, but from what I gather, to ma...
Right, but I think your missing the point. You're saying that the fact that the Xbox One does not have a SSD will not effect the series X.
The developer here is saying, "Faster load times give us extra room to add details like props, materials, textures, and lightning, among others". Those things could not be added without the SSD. That will limit the series X.
I'm responding to you comment about the SSD being only storage. In a sense that is true, but you must have missed the articles talking about how the SSD is going to free up asset allocation allowing for memory to be used for other things. I'll try to find an article and edit it in before the timeout.
EDIT:
"Load times can have a big impact on what is possible for game artists. Faster load times give us extra room to add details like props, materials, ...
I would be more concerned with AI, animations, modeling, and things of that sort.
I personally know 4 people that bought a second 360 because of the RRoD. Microsoft didn't even acknowledge the problem until lawsuits started rolling in. Wii was a toy not a proper console, and the so called fire sale on the PS3 is in your head. Even after the price drop they were making profit on each sale. Microsoft was trying to cover the massive losses due to faulty hardware.
Ugh... That's pretty bad.
Get your facts straight. The PS3 outsold the 360 despite it having a year head start. Not only that but if you line up the time frames the PS3 sold better. Then you say that Xbox had already moved on to the Xbox One. That makes no sense considering that the One and PS4 came out in the same year. You also completely ignore the bloated 360 figures do to the Red Ring of Death. I don't even consider the Wii in the same league. It was more of a toy.
It's smaller than I thought.
This is one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen.
