I see what you're saying, but the counterpoint is, you don't have to do the things that are bothering you in that game. I play games for the story (even open world games) so I don't care about doing extra bs to upgrade. I'll follow side quest if I'm interested in the story they tell, but that's the only case. Hell... I didn't even use Dead Eye except where the game made me.

Hell yeah, Shane. Vice City was my favorite by far. The whole vibe of the game was great. I still can't help but think of the launch commercial every time I hear I Ran.

I never did any of that crap in RDR 2, ssj27. I didn't even hunt, fish, or buy things unless the game made me in a mission. I had no problem beating the game without upgrading anything.
