Quantum Break looks awesome, but I would not call it this generations Max Pain. Max was the first time we had used "bullet time" as a major gameplay mechanic. Even so, the most memorable thing about Max for me is the atmosphere.
I've only watched a bunch of video on Quantum Break, but it doesn't look like it has the same atmospheric impact.
What does it matter? They've already said that you will not even know if you run across another player.
That's going to effect your bubbles. Pop pop pop.
If everything in the article is true, it seems like another case of too little too late. A brand new console coming out in 2017 that is on par with two consoles that have been on the market for years?.. Color me unimpressed.
I think that this next console is going to be the deciding factor in whether they continue in the console market. I would say that they would continue their hand held division, but that space is becoming less viable with everyone having smart phones these days.
I do think that Nintendo would do really well as a software manufacturer. I'm sure many people would love to see Mario on PlayStation... Bayonette on Xbox, and so forth.
I don't disagree with that at all. In fact, that is exactly what the Wii is good for. Problem is, you can not look at the history of gaming and say it is a great gaming machine. I would put the console in the same category as peripherals like Kinect, or the Move. Have you looked at the price of a used Wii online? People can't give them away.
It's like a DDR mat. It's great fun for a while, then it gets stuck in a closet never to be seen again.
I think the success of the Wii turned out to be a negative in the long run. Everyone and their Grandma's nursing homes went out and bought those goofy things because they were cheap and people loved the gimmick. I can go bowling, or play tennis at home!?! I need this magic to help me stay in shape!
Problem is, that trend ran it's course rather quickly. Most people's Wiis were collecting dust 6 months after purchase. People that never considered themselves to ev...
I think your getting down votes because people think your lying. Not saying that I do, just what I think is getting you down votes.
Looks petty cool. If I had a gaming PC, or an Xbox One this would be top of my list.
You've not played Heavenly Sword, or Devil May Cry I take it. They were both great.
Lol
This game isn't really about the story. Did you give Mario a similar score for its lack of story? Or Rocket League? Or Ico?
Great game, poor review.
I will never buy a Metal Gear game that is not made by Kojima.
Things like this are why I don't care for multilayer.
Check out Tim's Polygon interview then.
It would be cool if it does. If not, and you're interested in this type of game, it's worth grabbing a PS4. There are quiet a few great games in this vane (spelling?). Everyone's Gone to the Rapture is really fantastic.
Lmao. :D
This reminds me a bit of Never Alone (which I loved). I'm looking forward to it.
I'm not.
I appreciate that, Kurt. I was thinking that people on this site hated Max Payne or something with all the disagrees I got. I don't actually know what it is people were disagreeing with.
