thus far into the console race the 360 has been slowing down compared to last years numbers and this is without a doubt the biggest game for the system. they have spent way too much on the advertising for this game. Anyone who even is mildly interested in the series knows when its coming out. A little over kill in my opinion.
i have so many games that I should finish first. I'm almost done with NGS so I want to beat that first for sure.
hopefully with this update they will start rolling out the public beta and announce a date at TGS.

it still won't move any systems in Japan. The original was a bigger hit in America than in Japan. I loved the first but having it on X360 in Japan is like putting the engine of a Lotus in a Kia, if its crappy on the outside it won't matter what you put in it.

and I stand by my words. I don't think that Halo 3 will sell a significant number of consoles. The game itself will sell plenty just not plenty of systems. As for the userbase for the oringinal xbox, if they don't sell 10 million systems based on this game then they have lost about of their userbase. Halo pretty much sold the original xbox and is without a doubt the flagship title for the 360. This title will be a failure in a way if it doesn't move a significant amount of systems. Just my op...
