I don't think anyone is actually against the idea. I know a large portion of the gaming community wants cross-play between the consoles but there seems to be a just as large portion who couldn't really care less and therefore won't pressure the situation. Personally I'm in the latter.

IMO I love it this way. You see how the other two companies are treating their fans right now. Microsoft seeing Xbox as nothing more than PC's red headed step child, no more exclusives for them. Nintendo still thinking gimmicks are the way to attract the hardcore gamers when their fans of REPEATEDLY stated they want a traditional console. PlayStation being so important to Sony means that they will do anything they can to please their fans which I and many others will greatly benefit from....
All I want the PS Neo to do is render all my current games and future PS4 games at 60fps 1080p no questions asked. Then when the PlayStation 5 comes around Sony can start focusing on 4k gaming.

I don't care how long it takes. We haven't had a decent Spiderman game since Spiderman 2 on PS2. I hope they take as long as they need so they don't eff this up.

Horizon Zero Dawn, Detroit Become Human, Spiderman, Death Stranding, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Gran Turismo Sport ect ect.

From Software might have a thing to say about that. The Souls series and Bloodborne have some of the best and most rewarding gameplay of any game out right now, Japanese or Western. You also have Persona 5, The Last Guardian, The Legend of Zelda, Gravity Rush 2, any of these games can stand toe to toe with Western games. People think because developers from the west have mastered the art of selling you your yearly GRAND EPIC BIG THE SAME BUT I SWEAR TOTALLY DIFFERENT first person shooter ever...

It has been stated multiple times by MS execs that Xbox was created because back during the PS1/PS2 era Sony was taking over the living room with their consoles and MS was terrified of that. MS created Xbox to destroy PlayStation which obviously they have failed tremendously at.

How is Sony in a bad spot? for 3 entire years the PS4 has been dominating every gaming market in the world including the home territory of the Xbox. Nothing will change that.

Exactly same reason for me. All the big AAA games I buy physical. Smaller games or games that are still cross gen I buy digital. Most JRPG's and Japanese games I also buy digital except the most popular like Final Fantasy or Persona, those I will be getting physical.
