New Kinect is actually a very powerful piece of tech. At the moment it is primarily used for system control via voice but Microsoft designed it to do a whole lot more, they certainly have/had a long term roadmap for it. Perhaps stealth games that detect if your carrying concealed items, know if your lying from the way your heartbeat changes. However if resources are taken away from it will benefit system graphics but some Kinect features might not be possible.

Mods have buried this but it IS deserving of it's own story.

Console wars is getting interesting! I guess this was a move that couldn't wait until E3.

Great! It would be so cool if there is a cross-save facility between the Vita and PS3/PS4 versions then you could just dip into it whenever you want. I'm also happy to hear that the PS4 version will make use of the touchpad as I've found it to be really cleverly used in Stick it to the Man.

I'm glad to see Square Enix also find the Final Fantasy X/X2 HD sale 'favourable.' Hopefully this success means we'll get to see a Final Fantasy XII remaster too.

If a publisher is churning out lazy ports then I understand why they might be thought of as greedy. But if they only make remasters of some of their biggest best loved games then for a relatively low cost it brings in more money for investment into new games.

Mark Cerny absolutely deserves to receive the Development Legend award. He's made some excellent games and advised other development teams. He was given the PlayStation 4 project and took his time to research the pros and cons of staying with a custom chipset or switching. He baked in streaming into the hardware so it doesn't impact performance and he selected the chipsets so they could deliver better quality graphics at a higher resolution. His decisions have been pivotal in helpi...

I don't hate mobile gaming or tablets, I'm certainly not a snob about mobile games - but they rarely offer the kind of game I want to play. I don't mean genres because the Apple and Android stores have all sorts. But the business model of mobile gaming is that games are given away for free or very cheap and then the gamer can pay for additional features or items to help them progress. Personally I hate pay to win. I rather pay for a game outright and know I own the whole game and ...

I only played a little bit of this on a friend's console but it was a lot of fun. I know a lot of people only play multiplayer but I hope a new game features a single player campaign as I enjoy it being only me and the game and gives you a chance to familiarise yourself with the game world. And no matter how good multiplayer is if consumers know Call of Duty & Battlefield have multiplayer and single player then there is the perception that they are better value because they offer more...

I don't think the VR Roller Coaster demo will help with anxiety! But it makes me even more eager to try out Oculus Rift & Project Morpheus.

This might normally be a niche game in the Western market, but in this day of digital downloads there is no need to wait for a fully localised version, the developers should just include subtitles and put it up on the PSN store. At least that way it will be able to sell some copies without the risk associated with producing disc copies.

The Contact name could make it a prequel. But after the unclear fate of everything after Mass Effect 3 I definitely want a sequel. There's talk of a new hero, but Bioware created a great character with Jack Shepard and I'd want to see him again. Although Assassin's Creed has reinvented itself with new protagonist. Ezio worked great, Connor not so great.

Anyway, I don't want to play a past chapter, I want to see what happening in the Mass Effect universe'...

There's a video https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Bill Gates shakes his head and say it is unlikely that Microsoft will sell Bing because it gives them so much 'fundamental' information about how people use the internet. But that he would 'absolutely' support an Xbox sale and that "PC chip graphics chips means you can make great games there."

Nice vid. DirectX 12 will help optimise the XB one's graphics but it would be incorrect to think that the advantages of cloud compute can make the Xbox graphics run as if it has more powerful hardware then the competitor.

*Correction, I mean to write during the Project Morpheus reveal Sony DID mention the social aspects of VR gaming with friends.

I love couch multiplayer, although I've always known it as local multiplayer. Games like Mario Kart 64 and GoldenEye 64 stand out as classic examples that I fondly remember gaming with friends IN THE SAME ROOM! Glad to see that Sony recognise the fun that can be had with this. During the Project Morpheus reveal they didn't mention the social aspects of VR gaming with friends taking it in turns to play the same game whilst the others watch on TV. I'm looking forward to what they c...

This is all very sad and unexplained for the man is question, he is surprised at this turn of events so I wonder why the directors would choose to remove him? Martin O'Donnell is a phenomenal composer of truly epic soundtracks that would not be be out of place in a big budget hollywood movie. The original Halo soundtrack is so beautiful and deep with meaning it elevated the games into something even greater. Maybe Phil Spencer will want him for Black Tusk, if not I have no doubt that anot...

@DragonKnight. Many 360 owners are new owners of a PS4, they now have a chance to play this modern masterpiece.

If the game had new DLC that was only available on this edition then it would be unscrupulous because it would be forcing owners of the PS3 edition to double dip - however this is not the case. Purchase of the PS4 edition is optional so it's not a money grab.

Luckey makes some interesting points about how the PC platform constantly advances. However he says of Project Morpheus "I think there’s reason for concern for the long term. That’s because in two to three years almost everyone will have a PC more powerful than the PS4."

In three years time of course PCs will be more powerful than the PS4 but Luckey's mistake is to assume the mass market will be buying PCs for gaming in greater numbers than games consoles. This ...

I watched Indie Game the Movie and Phil Fish was so passionate about making his game. Yes the twitter spat with Marcus Bore got so out of control that he 'quit' making Fez 2. But you know what? When you have that much love for gaming one incident won't kill it off. I'm hoping he is making Fez 2 and he decided to announce it on 1st April as the ultimate troll! It also means he won't be getting all that media attention. We'll see...
