Metal Gear and Splinter Cell are not comparable. Splinter Cell goes for real scenarios and physics, Metal Gear has a balance of real and a lot of fantasy thrown in. I love Metal Gear because it is just a "game" and I really don't find games much fun when they're trying to be ultra realistic except for sports games. Metal Gear introduced a lot of stealth mechanics yet stayed true to its flavor.
Yes, I love how awesome it looks on vita. Perfect and touch screen for items/weapons, awesome. Never would have imagined this in my hands 10 years ago.
Amazing that people STILL can't get it through their heads that Rising is a spin off, action game. I mean how many times does the man have to point it out while people still rant about losing faith in the franchise?
NBA 2K12/13 console perfect would have been the killer app for a lot of people. Maybe Madden, but 2k has that replayability. The best sports games sell systems
that interview felt like torture
I bet we can expect all the characters from the 'Mikey' commercial, so expect Old Snake, Snake vs Gabe, if Sam Fisher is in that would be crazy too
I think it will be multiple paths, timeline, The Boss, Grey Fox, Big Boss, Miller.. also he once mentioned about being the Boss when the Cobra unit was first assembled. Personally I want to see the time when Big Boss saved Sniper Wolf and the formation of Fox Hound
SmartGlass and Vita can obviously compete with Wii.U, and mimick what the Wii U can do.
Yeah Wrestling games haven't been easy to control or fun for way too long now.
For once, understand that cell phone games are for short attention spanned, mostly air headed gaming. The Vita, 3DS and game handhelds are for legitimate gaming just like consoles. BTW I don't get buttons on the screen, unresponsive and distracting. $70 million went to how many women and children who couldn't even tell you the publisher of Call of Duty
Why can I not remote play my PS3 games already?? That's one MAJOR selling point!
Remote play all PS3 games would solve a lot of issues
Wow all that talk everyone was doing about Microsoft, now I see Nintendo is catering girls and kids. Nothing at all making me change my decision not to buy a Wii u. They really believe most of us get that many friends in a room much less to play games together all the time. It's as I said just gimmick, face it.
I think Kojima is about done with PS3/XBOX. This game may influence him to bring Metal Gear next gen in a more realistic style than the almost realistic/cartoon style. I for one wouldn't mind as long as he keeps the Metal Gear fantasy elements and humor. I'm glad this game got him thinking because it can only bring better products.
Shocked me too, bad for THQ
This is so true, gray fox' past has been collecting dust and i feel he deserved a game more than anyone. But patience will pay off knowing Kojima hasn't forgotten him. Shinobi PS2 was on the right track and i can't believe that JMusashi hasn't had a deep real game since. The attention span in gaming has gone so low to where social games are outselling console games by the tons, so i see why cashing in on this makes sense.
I don't know but Wii U just feels like a gimmick to me. I think the gamepad will be used mostly as a portable nes/snes/N64/gamecube/wiiu than anything else, which is neat but no real future of gaming.
Wait until Microsoft reveals you can use your tablet or smartphone to act as your controller just like the Wii U gamepad
maybe all the hate because the game might be awesome in its own way, wait until Rising 2 with Akiba!
This time period is perfect, formation of foxhound! Can't wait to see Big Boss and Jaeger save Sniper Wolf, Psycho Mantis, all the buildup on the bosses from MGS1. Exactly what they got wrong in MGS4, no boss buildup, just a bad codec call from Drebin to detail them AFTER you defeated them. That is why MGS1 still is tops, you cared and remembered most of the bosses afterward and you were a living legend from the start of the game. Also The pic with the dog may be young Liquid as he said h...
