Isn't this stuff illegal or against FTC or something. I mean I know we are being watched all the time, but what is happening, we play video games not build missles
This thing is going to change the industry. The game industry is quickly becoming like the cable/satellite industry. The purchase of physical tied to digital means no way out. You are buying access and Gamestop cannot do anything but take a meager 10 percent or what not. As I stated it's just like any prepaid card, those PIN numbers are the key and only MS or publisher can give them out. The disc will be there just to take some weight off the servers, but I doubt the whole game will ...
Retailers win in a way that smaller shops and pawn shops cant compete
XBOX Uno would have sounded better
BMW owns the X1
I just bought one too, Target had it for 239.99 and Best buy has mario for preowned 39.99, buy 2 get 1 on all used games, kinda ironic since I didn't like the system
2K did Don King Boxing and it wasn't good
I've been an XBOX supporter since day 1. I support all consoles, just bought a WiiU just to have it. But man this is the worst showing by a game company in a very long time. The reveal and stupid announcements after the fact have turned me off to all things XBOX. I was defending them at first and now I feel as the X1 may not see a place next to my TV. This is all so ridiculous like the Sega CD and 32X bs. I just want it for games, I could care less for bluray, cable, dvd etc. The only...
So if someone buys a PlayStation 4 game, I asked, you're not going to stop them reselling it?
"Aaaah," was Yoshida's initial answer, but seemingly only because he'd forgotten his line. "So what was our official answer to our internal question?" he asked his Japanese PR advisor. The advisor stepped in but didn't seem to answer clearly, at least to my ears. Yoshida then took control again firmly:
"So, used games can play...
I don't know yet, Sony may be using the same used/borrowed games tactics as MS. They will tie it together and say the publishers are demanding it.
The Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Ultimate Edition is available now for $74.99 on PlayStation®Network (PSN) for the PlayStation®3 Entertainment System.
Way too early and they should have waited until end of year with a lower price
The new glossy black console can’t stand vertically like the Xbox 360, but will only rest horizontally.
that sucks
Yes imagine skyping while playing NBA 2K lag free
Xbox 360 is the same way right now. You need Xbox Live to access all the apps and multiplayer too. The only thing is that your games will be digital when you purchase them and tied to your account, so you can't resell on Ebay or craigslist. Gamestop will be around as they all will accept a trade but only for digital money, maybe even less than half of value. So no free enterprise on selling or trading your game to highest bidder. You will never "own" a game again
you are buying the "rights" to play a game, nothing physical. The disc is useless after install
Yes seems they will have to use your profile on the 2nd machine to play
How will that make sense? On a new title it will have to be full price, the disc means nothing, you are buying the "rights" to play a game, nothing physical. The disc is useless after install
I know, makes me think that they're not ready
Yes, this is really an XBOX LIVE machine only, just named XBOX ONE. They should emphasize that this is only for subscribers to Xbox Live, that's who it caters to the most, online players and communities.
If they want you to play used fine, block used fine, just they better bring DOWN the price of games, period. Make games $30 and no used games and I will be fine, I just won't stand to burn $60 on a game I don't like, can't return and can't resell to someone who would like it. They WILL lose game sales, people will think twice about burning 60 on a game knowing that they can't resell or trade in for a fair amount on Ebay or craigslist.
