Yes, that would be Randy Pitchford:

Some people believe that this was just a PR-trick by Gearbox to get sympathy buyers for their games. I don't know if that's the truth, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's the actual truth behind it all.
*cough cough*

Simon_the_sorcerer@ "Hmm, that's worth looking into for sure."
- I'm going to mail Gearbox about it.
I think that one is not going to happen now, as Gearbox doesn't want to have anything to do with G2A.
The last time that I bought anything from them was back in mid 2015...
@uth11 "I was told it's against the rules to talk about the moderation on this site? So I'm just going to talk about how excited I am to rebuy centipede and missile command for the 29th time. Woot!"
- What, it is? :S I'm glad to hear that at least ;) Have tons of fun =)
@eternal1973 "Mods probably get money from the spammers otherwise they would be more proactive about banning and preventing these posts."
I'm going to let people decide that one for themselves.
@AnubisG "They aren't doing their jobs. Either, they don't care or there isn't enough people to moderate. But say something anti-liberal and you'll be sure to get banned. Or a more sinister theory is that they actually receive money from these spammers. Either way, they aren't doing their jobs."
*Cough cough*
@81BX "They are here but they are busy modding comments that really don't need to be"
I understand. I always flag spam comments and such though, so I do what I can to help out.
I've pointed this out to the owners for months...
When we're talking about +100,000 USD that's gone up in smoke (or even more). Then it's a problem. I get what you're saying though. So best of luck. As for backers, since Kickstarter doesn't refund any money. Well, people have to get sharper and do more background controls.
I feel you on that one. So let's hope that the game will see the day of light in December this year, and that it will kick tons of ass on release.
Crackdown 3 is a must play for me at least.
MN9 in combo with Yooka-Laylee (to name a few) made me change my thoughts about crowdfunding as a whole. I'm honestly quite worried about the Shenmue 3 project (the game might just be the next "Duke Nukem Forever" for all I know).
That's what I found out via the Kickstarter refund page...So the backers are on their own if something goes wrong.
I've backed five games in the past. However, all of those games were created by very well-known game developers. Furthermore, I did not spend more than 20-40 USD on each game.
It's a very risky game, and I would not recommend anyone to spend large sums of money on any crowdfunding project (like that one person who spent 10,000 USD on a MN9 dinner...).
Yes, but then you got games like Mighty No.9 as well...A game which turned out to be anything but great (not to mention the fact that the backer awards took forever to be sent out).
Done and made, so I'll let you know what they told me asap.
