Same here, I had no idea there was one in development.
It just so happens I'm writing a review for the original one as we speak.
Kausdt, you're absolutely right. Itagaki has expressed appreciation toward Kojima on several occasions. In fact, Kojima had wanted a few select female characters from Dead or Alive to appear as playable characters in the first Metal Gear Online. However due to Konami's decision, he had to settle with characters from Rumble Roses.
"but itakagi is 2nd party microsoft
that would be like saying Imsomniac should make 360 games for all their releases :/"
v1c1ous, as bootsielon had mentioned, Itagaki belongs a third-party. The difference is that Insomniac as a second-party, develops first-party IPs for Sony. Team NINJA develops Tecmo's intellectual properties, this time around, Microsoft had purchased exclusivity for this installment of Ninja Gaiden.
"He's no different than Hide...
Same here, I hope Team ICO also shows something this year as well.
I believe another factor to the drop has to do with some of these companies leaving the ESA.
Unless if my eyes are deceiving me, I would say this title looks so much better now.
Yeah I'm surprised as well.
Why would they name this title after a Tony Jaa movie?
From experience I will say that the Siren series gives a greater sense of helplessness and immersion, while trying to cling for dear life.
One to two hours per episode given that there's going to be an initial 12 episodes. So I'm guessing around 18 hours give or take, that's pretty good for a PSN title.
For a second there I thought in-game XMB was ready for launch.
It's no biggie. ;)
That's okay. You can just click the Edit button and just delete it out, and then proceed to clicking the 'Update Comment' button. ;)
I recommend checking out 3 (Subsistence preferably). It's an outstanding achievement by Kojima and his team, no doubt you'll have a great time especially with some of the most epic boss battles of any game title ever released.
One thing I would like to add about MGS3 Subsistence in the Essential Collection is that there's no 2nd disc. So unfortunately the first two canonical MSX games are not included as well as VR Missions which came out for the PlayStation, everything else is there though.
Holy cow, another new character!?
It appears that the 4th installment will in fact be the Ultimate Soul Calibur.
If Yahoo news is to be believed, it appears they have been liberated.
One of the things I reported in the beta which is also evident in the video, was to increase the bounding box for the collision detection for the items. As you can see some players were spinning around in circles trying to pick up the items, before actually picking them up or getting shot and killed. Hopefully that gets fixed.
It's a disappointment to hear that from him, since Hayashi was declared as one of Itagaki's best people. I personally thought the tweaked level design improved the flow of the game in terms of Ryu's playable sections.
A great component of these titles is that it gives the player a great sense of physical helplessness against the seemingly immortal shibito.
I remember playing the first one on the PS2 for an estimated 50+ hours, great stuff.
I've been following Killzone 2 closely and these appear new to me.
