After reading this, I can say the majority of gamers felt this way about certain franchises at one time or another (or consoles). It screamed satire mixed with truth, something you don't normally see often.
To those that didn't read it; "OMG he's a noob, he needs to get an xbone and play Titanfail and hate on that for no apparent reason!!one111!"
I remember when games were 100% completed, extras were unlocks instead of "paid," and DLC were expansions with a similar/different experience than the main game.
Now it seems almost mandatory for some major release to either cut content then lie about it being added later; or act like you have to buy the DLC for the "full" experience while complaining about low initial sales since smart customers wait for a complete, cheaper version.

I may get dinged for this; I don't play enough online to care which is better as far as multiplayer goes (I still play single player or local co-op 90% of the time).
As far as other things (deals, community, etc) I still vote PSN.
I remember when Game Boy first came out, I was one of the only kids in my elementary school with it, and my very first console until my parents bought me the NES that next year.
I also remember the arguments between Game Boy and Game Gear, which was better.
When I got older I chose FF3/6 because it had a more mature theme (even for an SNES game) that Chrono Trigger couldn't carry when it involved certain situations. When I was younger, 14-early 20s) I voted CT hands down, now that I'm a lot older (early 30s) I'd have to say FF 3/6. I'll still boot up both though on occasion.
Still though, both proved SquareSoft knew what they were doing, used their resources to the max, and actually made something to cater th...
Chrono Trigger is where I started RPGs on a full scale (FF 1 on NES is where it began however not as much). Games like this aren't made anymore sadly.
I also remember the countless arguments in middle school between this and FF 3/6, which was better.
Unless I missed something I didn't see anything about a level increase, that would be welcomed since I'm at 60. I do like the idea game saves get ported over (from the PS3 to the 4) so I can just jump in without having to start over.
Hopefully a console release of these titles since I never was able to play them at the time they were released.
I miss games like this
I vote for Sega to buy the Xbox brand as a "final chance" in the console business outside the DreamCast. At least then we will see a lot of changes towards gamers and not just garbage business practices.
I wonder how it would fare in the US since I plan on being a developer once I graduate college (as an independent studio). Staying with a company making at least $50K+ a year is a really good start, and also looks good because they aren't staying "just because."
Edit
Now that Wada is gone from SE (Since I noticed it was at the bottom of the list) I wonder if that 2.3 years is going to increase, while Capcom at 8.8 will decrease.
That's why lately I've been staying mute on this site. I can't stand when I get blasted for an actual response AFTER reading the article, and a whole lot of morons who read the title and first paragraph and go just off that.
OT
I'll try the game, reminds me of a mix between Fallen Earth, Fallout, Resident Evil (older versions), and Dead Rising. F2P don't bother me if done correctly, and so far it seems the people here are actually goin...
A competitor for Fallout? A PS4 version of Fallen Earth?
Surprised Sunset Riders didn't make the list or at least an Honorable Mention
Ok so I'm not the only one who noticed the stutter as well, I didn't find it as annoying as being booted at the start of the boss fight.
My issue is so far post patch I've had the game crash on me 3 times on the boss battle at the end of Recruit level; I can't successfully advance until I can either join someone elses game or just keep replaying the same missions until it's fixed.
The game being hard is the last thing on my mind, but its very frustrating that I can't even advance because every time the boss appears the game crashes. I sent a report to Sony as well (the auto system they have ...
Final Fantasy 3
Chrono Trigger
Killer Instinct
Donkey Kong Country 2
Super Punch Out
I still boot those up when I need a trip down memory lane
I agree 100% (and also voted), MS could have spent a whole 2 minutes of their time to send a mass email reminding companies of some sale/price adjustment to prevent situations like this.
Seems like common sense isn't so common anymore; should be a super power at this point. I understand Blow being frustrated, however to go on social media to vent just means you're not as professional and makes it harder to renew contracts. Also means he didn't actually read the ...
I swear "if" they ever made a GOOD Fallout MMO whatever social life I had would be gone completely.
A fighting MMO would also be welcomed, as well as Xenogears.
Depends on the game really, some games I wish had new gen ports to at least hold us over till newer games come out that will help transition to the new thing.
