Bethesda is much more commonly known than Zenimax - an honest mistake to say Bethesda owns id, which is not what the article says, but is in fact what I said. You are right that Bethesda is owned by Zenimax, as is id.
I wouldn't call it pointless if a major, AAA title is dropped by EA.
Regardless of whether Zenimax owned id Software, the fact was, EA had publishing rights to the game and ceded them to Zenimax. That IS a big deal for EA, for EA stockholders, and for Zenimax.
Obviously, since EA still had publishing rights until yesterday, it wasn't exactly "implied" that RAGE would be published by Bethesda.
I think everyone needs to understand the difference between a "developer" and a "publisher".
A developer builds, designs, and creates a game.
A publisher financially supports a game, advertises for the game, and promotes the game.
Bethesda isn't involved in the actual making of the game, only the distribution and promotion of the game.
Bethesda developed Oblivion and Fallout 3.
Bethesda published and is pu...
The news is that Bethesda is now publishing the game. Previously, Bethesda owned id Software but the publishing rights were controlled by EA. Now, Bethesda has also gained the right to publish and advertise the game, cutting EA out of the game altogether. Bethesda has been producing the game for a while because they own id Software, but only now have they gained complete control over all aspects of the title, hence the press release they issued today.
Isn't it a little presumptuous to say that Splinter Cell is Tom Clancy's best series? There are also the excellent Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series, which, I'm certain, many gamers would say are the best Tom Clancy series. Any real news site would remain impartial on the subject and not make such an opinion-based statement. I won't believe this until I see real proof from Ubisoft.
Australia's classification laws should be changed. Everyone should read about Gamers4Croydon, the political party that is fighting to oust Michael Atkinson, the one Attorney-General in Australia whose opposed to creating a "Mature" game rating.

Gears of War 2 didn't make the list because I counted Gears of War as the franchise more than just the first game. Didn't want two GOW games on one list.
Below I've posted a response to why my gamerscore is only 500. Take a look so that you understand that I do have the creds to write this article.
Mass Effect and Halo 3 seem to be two common games that people though would make the list - let me clarify why they didn't.
Mass Effect simply didn't make the list because I have yet to complete the game and I don't want to add a game I haven't completed to this list.
Halo 3 didn't make the list because, frankly, it wasn't innovative. It was fun and I love the multiplayer, but it was just like Halo 1 and Halo 2. Nothing was changed and the story wasn't that great. If...

Since you took it upon yourself to not only tackle my gamerscore on the comments here at N4G but also at my site - I wanted to address your comment personally.
My gamerscore is 500 for a reason. My hard drive crashed a month ago, and living at college previous to this year, and in Vermont, I did not have Xbox Live. So, I couldn't recover my gamertag and lost all my gaming history.
Honestly, do you think I would make this list o...

no means a comprehensive list of all the great titles coming out for the PS3, but it is a list of Terminal Gamer's most anticipated. Look for a 360 version soon!
Hey, I love the 360, I simply want the new xbox to be even better!
"With news that Microsoft may be releasing a new Xbox in 2010/2011..."
Since when is that news? Since Pachter speculated about it? It barely passes as a rumor.
Nice to see another garbage blog in the same league as badassgamerblog and hiphopgamershow. Can't get enough of them, can we?

The argument about the HDD is that Valve needs to figure out a system that denies users without an HDD from entering online games against players who have an HDD and thus, the DLC. The other problem is that Microsoft won't allow Valve to release this DLC as free content (probably because The Orange Box is so popular that they see it as a cash cow for DLC income) so while some players will pay for the DLC, others won't, and how does Valve create the system so that those who have DLC are playin...
Xbox live should definitely be made free. I may have to add that to the article!
The point isn't to highlight the best exclusives, but rather, the most anticipated games. Anyone who cares that much about them not all being exclusives is just a fanboy with nothing better to do.
